My personal favorite Dinosaur
When most think about Large carnivores they think about T-rex,Spinosaurus and many other large dinosaurs made popular by movies and tv shows. These dinosaurs are the most popular. When you see them in a movie trailer it's hard to not want to watch it. In the movies some dinosaurs are pretty much unseen because some people do not know about them. True dinosaur fans have been waiting to see some of the underdogs for a long time.
My personal favorite dinosaur is the Giganotosaurus.ever since i saw this dinosaur i've loved it my first view of this dinosaur was in Jurassic World evolution that game is what led me to choose this subject so you have it to thank. Giganotosaurus was the third largest theropod carnivore, although it was longer than T-rex it weighed about a tonne less. The giganotosaurus is the largest Carcharodontosauridae in the family weighing around 6.6 tonnes. It was very long, had more functional arms and a longer head that was built for slashing bites that caused blood loss rather than brute strength like the T-rex. They mainly hunted very large sauropods such as argentinosaurus; these slashing bites would come in handy as they would bite their prey along the legs and wait for them to get weak from blood loss. Giganotosaurus were both solitary and group hunters. they could hunt smaller prey alone but with a pack of them could hunt larger prey.
In conclusion the Giganotosaurus is always a dinosaur I'll have a soft spot for. I think it's the coolest looking and the way it hunts will always be very interesting to me. its slashing bite, large teeth and the history behind it will never cease to amaze me. I hope you've enjoyed this post and I'll see you next time.

dino sounds
The main problem with dinosaur noises is that they are extinct. There is truly no way of knowing exactly how a dinosaur like the famous T-rex might have sounded due to the absence of them in our world today. Scientists have to use sound technology to analyze modern day birds and fossils to try to figure out how a Dinosaur might have roared, groaned and used calls for mating.
The media misconception is that the main source of the sounds we have are in movies and tv shows. A child will hear the sound of a dinosaur from movies like Jurassic park and believe that dinosaurs sound the way the sound engineers made them. The truth is that they will use a combination of everyday objects or noises to make a sound that they think sounds good. In truth dinosaurs most likely sounded like birds and modern crocodiles most did not roar but mostly groaned and growled some had calls like the famous spinosaurus.
youtube
When i was a child i thought that famous movie noises were the truth when it came to dinosaur sounds but as i grew up and did my research more i realized that these sounds were simply made up to insight fear in the audience the way we can cover these misconceptions is by having more field trips to museum in early schooling of a child that was when they hear the movie version they can appreciate the terror that goes into making the sounds but they can understand that the real sounds are far from the ones they are hearing on the big screen
In conclusion Dinosaur noises have come a long way from the big roars on the big screen to the low rumbling noises that we have developed using scientific theory or research.

T-rex
We all know the mighty T-rex known for its movie fame and cool looks. It's one of the biggest and certainly one of the baddest theropods to ever roam the earth. Like most children, I always had a fascination with dinosaurs and not just any but specifically large carnivores like the T-rex. Their large size bulky heads and overall large bulk always itched a spot in my brain, they appealed to me in a way that as a child i thought they were the coolest looking thighs to ever exist i became invested in learning the most i possibly could about dinosaurs, and i'm not ashamed to admit i still know alot about them to this day. I blame part of my hyperfixation on my ADHD as things I'm interested in my brain holds onto no matter how useless it might be for me.
The T-rex is known for being one of the Largest theropod dinosaurs to exist it weight between 11,000 to 15,000 pounds(8 tonnes) and could grow as big as 40 feet long and 12 feet tall at the hips they also possessed the most powerful jaws of any land carnivore ever with a bite force of 6-7 tonnes(35,000 newtons) a recent study shows that trex had a rigid skull like hyenas and modern crocodiles instead of a flexible skull like birds and reptiles this allowed them to have the skull rigidity and bite force to crush a ford f-150
In conclusion the T-rex is one of the most well known and the most powerful dinosaurs to roam the earth and I think without T-rex dinosaurs would not have gotten the media tration they did. Dinosaurs like T-rex from when I was a kid played a huge part in my love, fame and interest that they do in the movies and in the media today. I always loved dinosaurs from when I was young even to know so the T-rex always has a place in my heart.

Media misconceptions of Dinosaurs
Welcome to dinosaur talks with Seb we are going to be talking about media misconception of dinosaur in pop culture, movies and overall misunderstandings about the appearance, behavior and actions of these prehistoric beasts
Ever since a young age ive loved dinosaurs for longer than i can rember ive been facinated with dinosaurs and dinosaur like creatures. I was first introduced to the jurrasic park movies from a young age and was hooked ever since then ive had toys lego sets and video games all based off dinosaur
The first dinosaur discovered was the megalosaurus; it may have gone by a different name. Robert Plot is credited with discovering the first dinosaur bones in 1641. Scientist thought at first that they were bones of large versions of animals and humans we have today they also helped to influence the stories of dragons, griffins and other mythical creatures
First off is the media misconception when most people think about Velocirator for example they think of a 6 foot tall scaly beast with huge powerful jaws from the jurassic park/jurassic world series in fact when i was young i thought the same because that's what i was shown from a young age. Now what if i told you that the velociraptor was in fact about 1.6 feet tall at the hips was 5-8 feet long and weighed only about 40 pounds to me that sounds like a predatory turkey. In addition to that they were not very scaly in fact they are one of the only dinosaurs that we know were mostly covered in feathers. Despite it being one of the most popular dinosaurs in the media most people imagine them to be far larger than they are. The velociraptors in Jurassic world and Jurassic park resemble Utahraptor the most. Utahraptor on the other hand was quite the predator standing 5 feet tall at the hips 16 feet long and 620-660 pounds they were close to what we've seen in the movies and were also covered in feathers
Secondly the sounds of dinosaurs in the media are obviously made up. That famous roar from the trex is made by sound designers and the majority of the sounds came from elephant bellows, tigers, lion roars and from the sound producers jack russell terrier named buster. The real sounds that these dinosaurs made were actually far scarier and closer to bird noises than the media shows. They were a mix of growls, roars and high pitched calls.
