he still has no clue how to handle having a daughter, or what the standard is, but he’s fairly certain daughters don’t normally come  home with blood on them.  that seems like the kind of thing alexander would have mentioned about his own daughter.  john stares at frances, eyes a little wide, reaction a little delayed.

Judging by the fact that Hamilton has been described as a ‘ short ball of rage ‘ she can only assume that the tall man at the door is the Marquis de Lafayette.
