Redesigned Fireheart! He doesn't smile anymore, he's a normal ass cat he can't do that. Only Star Plane cats can smile now, and that's not all! They have much more humanoid expressions in general.
Fireheart (he/him)
Warrior of WinterClan
Bisexual
[ID: On the left is a young kitten with very tall ears with distinctive tips. He is ginger and has a darker cape and a white muzzle, chest heart, and a single white paw. He has green eyes and wears a green bowtie with a bell beneath it. On the right is the older version of this cat, now with scruffier fur, scars on his nose and shoulder, and a chip in his ear. His eye shine is now in the shape of a four-pointed star. End ID.]
Fire alone will save the Clans...
The man, the myth, the legend himself! Rusty is a normal house cat from the Human Plane who's always had a knack for adventure. From kittenhood, he's been going on adventures around the neighborhood and befriending his fellow house cats, his closest friends being Smudge, Princess, and Tiny.
His housefolk, for all their love and attention, didn't exactly know how to take care of a cat that had been gifted to them, best shown by him being unneutered and allowed outside in that state. However, while usually the most you'd expect is a bunch of stray kittens running around the neighborhood or your cat getting in fights, there was no expecting what happened to Rusty.
After receiving a strange dream, he managed to stumble his way through a magical portal pond directly into WinterClan, where he quickly decided to settle down. He gains the name Firepaw and is apprenticed to Tigerclaw, before he begins to make friends within the Clan.
He quickly bonds with Ravenpaw, a storyteller apprentice, and Cinderpaw, a warrior apprentice like him, though he doesn't quite get along with the other warrior apprentices, Sleetpaw and Snowpaw.
Beyond all that, however, Firepaw must learn about the darker parts of the Isle of Seasons as a conspiracy lurks beneath the surface...

Bluestar (she/her)
Leader of WinterClan
Bisexual
Look at what The Stars have done to us. This was a warning. StarClan has abandoned us.
Fireheart's first mother figure in WinterClan! She's always prided herself in being rebellious to the code, hoping to bring the Clans together. Though with her position, she's caught between peace and the Clans' desire for war. She tries her best to lead Fireheart right, and hopes he'll be able to lead the Clans into peace. After all, he's the Fire that'll save the Clans, she's sure.
Bluestar has had a long and complicated life, from losing her mother and uncle to SpringClan warriors, a whirlwind romance with Crookedstorm, giving up her kits, all the way to having to oppose her best friend in war. But still, she's always tried to be fair and just.
But with that much stress creeping up on her, it was almost inevitable what happened later in life. Lost faith, confusion, muddied memory, and constant paranoia. Something that has claimed many of her family, and will continue to claim her descendants.

idc what anyone says I firmly believe that Lionblaze should’ve been the one to kill Ashfur and disappear into the tunnels.
Like not only did they have actual history and set up with Ashfur being his physically abusive mentor but Lionblaze’s biggest problem before the parentage reveal was his struggle to get to grips with his power and his violent thoughts and dreams. He was afraid of what he could do if he lost control, who he might hurt.
So on the night of the full moon, still reeling from Squirrelflight’s reveal, Lionblaze follows Ashfur down to the lake in a desperate bid to convince him to let the matter go, to say nothing - after all, perhaps Ashfur would remember the ‘bond’ (in Lionblaze’s ever hopeful mind) that they had and stand down, maybe things would be ok. Perhaps somewhere, deep down, Ashfur could find a shred of empathy. But to his dismay, Ashfur scoffs and mocks him. Lionblaze’s vision begins to cloud and his skin begins to twitch in an all too horrifically familiar rage. All his pent up hatred and resentment towards Ashfur bubbles to the surface and he digs his claws into the pebbly shore. On most occasions he’d do anything to fight the sensation and bring himself back to reality but this time he lets it flow. It was Ashfur who trapped him and his family in the fire. Ashfur who tormented them until the secret was spilled. Ashfur who had made his apprenticeship a living hell, Ashfur who now threatened to spoil any further chance of him and his family living peaceful, normal lives ever again.
Before Ashfur can even think to scream or turn and run Lionblaze is upon him - jaws snapping, claws flailing and ripping at his flesh repeatedly. This isn’t a clean, calculated kill. This is a butcher. A messy, agonising death. By the time the red clears from Lionblaze’s eyes and he returns to his senses, Ashfur lies limp, his body barely recognisable - saved for a few remaining clumps of grey fur - somehow free of bloodstains. One blue, unmoving eye remains fixed on Lionblaze, as though even in death, he watched his every move. Lionblaze begins to shake and sweat profusely over the realisation of what he’s done. He plunges into the lake before him in a desperate attempt to wash his former mentor's blood from his paws, to remove the nauseating taste from his mouth and let the cool water dull his senses but it’s not enough. He emerges from the water, his fur free of Ashfur’s blood but not his mind. Without daring to look back at Ashfur’s remains he shakes himself out and disappears again into forest once more - one problem dealt with, another dozen created.
By the time the gathering patrol finds Ashfur’s body, Lionblaze’s lingering scent had been long since washed away. The killing was so brutal and messy the culprit was pinned down to a badger, or perhaps a fox. Border patrols are doubled and the other clans are warned of a violent beast that roamed the territories, claiming the life of one of ThunderClan's most skilled fighters. No cat could commit a murder so horrific and violent, or so most of ThunderClan thought. Only Lionblaze’s siblings - Jayfeather and Hollyleaf (and perhaps Ashfur himself) - knew of Lionblaze’s violent tendencies, and they would often be there to help calm him down. Upon discovering Ashfur’s body they knew there could only be one culprit.
Lionblaze keeps his head down for the days to come and steers clear of any suspicions, his shame following him wherever he goes. He barely eats, he barely sleeps, he barely talks to anyone - a mere shell of his former friendly self. Most cats just chalk it down to him mourning the loss of his mentor and treat him with pity. Meanwhile Jayfeather and Hollyleaf especially are becoming increasingly restless as well. Jayfeather is frantically begging StarClan for answers and solutions to no avail, and Hollyleaf is burning with hatred for Leafpool and Squirrelflight now more than ever. Had they not lied, Lionblaze would never have had to silence Ashfur and dirty his paws (she believes he fully intended on killing him in the first place, as she did in canon). The secrecy, the lies, it was all too much. She would expose everything at the next gathering and put an end to it once and for all.
But yeah in the end Hollyleaf spills the secret, including the truth about Ashfur's brutal murder at the next gathering as it goes in canon but it does not go as she plans. Absolute chaos ensues. Lionblaze, whom Hollyleaf at least hopes would be hailed as a hero for disposing of Ashfur the traitor is now out in the open and viewed as a violent out of control monster. He's convinced there is no longer a place for him in the clans and flees into the tunnels, knowing his clanmates would be safe from him. Hollyleaf, now conviced he's dead, is guilt-stricken for driving her beloved brother away and Jayfeather is furious at her actions but she maintains her composure in the public eye - convincing herself that perhaps her brother is in a better place and everything is how it should be now that justice is served, becoming more respected amongst the more conservative ranks of ThunderClan.
With Lionblaze huddled down alone in the tunnels with his demons, Hollyleaf tightening her grip on ThunderClan and Leafpool and Squirrelflight living in constant fear and unease, Jayfeather is left alone to pick up the pieces and restore his family and ThunderClan to what it used to be.

are there any gay cats i need to know
There sure are! Many characters are casually LGBTQ+, including a lot of the main characters! Fireheart himself is bi, Ravenpaw is a gay demiboy, Cinderstripe is a transfem lesbian. And that's just the first arc!
The second arc has even more as most of the main characters are LGBTQ+, with lesbian Tawnyblaze, lesbian Leafpool, gay Hawkshine, bi Mothwing, pan Squirrelflight, pan Dovebranch, queer lovers Violetpool and Needlestrike, whatever the hell Brambleflower and Ashfur have going on when they aren't obsessing over Squirrelflight.
In the third arc, even though it's nowhere near finished, I know every single main character is LGBTQ+. Hollysight is aroace, Jayfrost is a nonbinary lesbian, Nightblaze is transmasc, and Dappled Leaves is polyam pan!
That's not even mentioning the loads of other characters, I've been building a list on Google Docs

Thanks to Bonefall I'm suddenly reconsidering so much about Stormstar's Oath, and I think I finally have Shaded Maple's motivation cemented, and how everything he goes through lends itself to her plan... And of course how Crookedstorm's own values leads to her downfall

Working on concepts for The Mortal Three, and strangely enough, Jayfeather and Leafstar seem to be the main characters so far! Hollyleaf and Lionblaze are there too, I promise, but Jayfeather seems to fit the theme of the arc most, and Leafstar is our eyes in SkyClan.

Did my own challenge :3
Now that we've done the "grey cat blue eyes" and "ginger cat amber eyes" challenge, I propose "black/white cat" challenge with Smudge, Barley, Bone, and Tallstar
(couldn't choose a single eye color because I couldn't find enough cats with the same eye color)

Just learned I somehow completely misread something and Bumble was Not In Fact Tom's mate, and she was also NOT the mother of Owl Eyes, Pebble Heart, or Sparrow Fur. Don't know how that happened

Pool of Stars - Cover
[ID: Rusty sits on pale green grass in front of a dark purple lake, which is filled with stars and the moon. Behind him is a white picket fence and the sunset sky. The lake appears to be glowing. In big pale blue letters at the top, bordered with a dark blue, it says "Isle of Seasons". At the bottom is smaller white text with a dark purple border which says "Pool of Stars. End ID.]
This isn't guaranteed to be the final cover, but this is a concept I whipped up for the first book, now titled Pool of Stars!

Perch and the Snake
An ancient RiverClan story
On the twentieth cycle of the new world, after a great storm that flooded the camp, a young kitten was found lying on the shore of SummerClan. Quickly, he was taken in and given to a queen, and a young couple decided to claim him as their own. No one knew how he survived the river that claimed his poor siblings, but all that mattered was that he was a new member in a time where SummerClan was low on numbers. He was named Splashing Perch.
When Splashing Perch was given a teacher, his own adopted father, he proved himself to be a quick learner, and was the most skilled student in the Clan. A Snake well known for killing many cats, usually a coral snake but sometimes said to be a krait or cobra, saw him hunting one day and became jealous. "He can hunt mice better than I," she thought. So, she decided to speak with him, gaining his trust. However, his parents stopped him, recognizing her as a very venomous serpent.
Later, while the three were on a patrol, Snake decided to get her revenge. She slithered silently behind them and bit into Splashing Perch's father, who quickly died from the venom. She then went to attack his mother, but Perch pinned Snake down. Though he was bitten, he killed Snake, and he miraculously survived. He was named Splashing Perch the Guardian and was revered as the slayer of snakes.
Ever since, every cycle, the Snake Festival is held, where cats celebrate Splashing Perch's bravery and the death of Snake by hunting serpents at Snakerocks.

Jake Family Tree
This was a HUGE task cause I decided to show how three different families come together with two main generations, and this shows some of the big changes I've made to family trees already.
Key:
Red: Romantic or related
Purple: Non-romantic pair
Pink: Crush or one sided feelings
With that out of the way, I can now start to explain a bit of what's going on here! (These will be separated into sections to make it easier to take in)
Fire Family
Emberbounce, previously known as Jake, was once well-known as a hardy Streetcat, never having owners and never needing them. He relied on his own skills to find food and shelter. He's also quite a bit of a charmer, even if he's not romantically interested. This made him very attractive in terms of alley toms. This is what led him to a close friend of his--Nutmeg.
Nutmeg, the cat of an Abyssinian breeder, managed to get out and meet Jake. They became friends, never romantic, but they decided to have kits nonetheless. Before we speak about them, though, we have to talk about this mysterious other cat.
Strudel was a Housecat well known for how he suddenly appeared one day. No one knew where he came from or what kind of life he had. He simply showed up, said many strange words no cat could understand, and lived a life of relaxation. Nutmeg decided to live with him and his Housefolk, not wanting to return to the breeder. While Strudel had fallen in love with her, all she wanted was someone to help raise her kittens. So, he took on a teacher role, never quite becoming the kits' father, but far more than just a caretaker.
Now, onto the kittens: Filou and Tommy don't exist anymore, or at least aren't Jake and Nutmeg's kits.
Rusty, Princess, and Luna had always been adventurous, much like their parents. They were super close, even after they were sold to their new Housefolk. Rusty, the most inquisitive, was always setting out on adventures. Meanwhile Princess, the most responsible, and Luna, the most reckless, were tagging along, causing mayhem in the streets. Really, no one was surprised when Rusty disappeared, though when his best friend Smudge began talking about stories of magic cats in another plane, it was hard to say that was predictable.
While Rusty--now Fireheart--found love in his fellow WinterClan warrior Sleetstorm, Princess found love in a kind tom named Oliver, a cat her Housefolk had gotten as a companion for her. The two are now expecting kittens, and looking for a new adventure together. Good thing Smudge seems to have an idea.
Tiny Family
Nutmeg isn't the only cat Jake sired for. Quince, a fellow Streetcat, had always desired to become a mother. That's when she met Jake, who was willing to help her out. They had three kits--Ruby, Socks, and Tiny.
While Ruby and Socks were inseparable partners in crime, Tiny was often left behind and seen as a nuisance. He struck out on his own quite often, finding his own ways to entertain himself. Eventually, tired of Ruby and Socks bullying him, he decided he wanted to live with Jake. That's when his father had an idea.
The two went to the Isle of Seasons, where Jake had been once before, and moved into SpringClan, where they were named Emberbounce and Tinypaw. This is when Emberbounce and Tallstar began to bond, until they finally became mates. Tallstar was happy to adopt Tinypaw as his son.
Sleet Family
Spottedleaf, herbalist of WinterClan, and Redtail, an esteemed storyteller, have always been the best of friends, and always got into trouble as apprentices. Though they've grown and matured, and they don't spend nearly as much time together, they're both at heart still those trouble-making siblings. They've just gotten better at hiding it.
During his transition, Redtail found himself spending more time with his close friend Runningwind, and the two slowly came to realize their feelings for each other. Eventually, they were proud to announce their kits.
Sleetstorm, Snowdrift, and Longtail were all known to be very noble, following the Clan Code's every rule, no matter what. They were all apprenticed as warriors, and thrived together as some of the most respected apprentices. Longtail even graduated early, having been an exceptionally fast learner. Then, Fireheart came along.
By the end of the first arc, the siblings weren't quite exclusively followers of the Code, and set out to help make changes that would make the Clans better for all cats.
Morning Family
Wrenflight, one of Tallstar's half-siblings, was always one for family. She always followed in Tallstar's pawsteps, and dreamed of being just like him. However, there was always one way they differed: while Tallstar preferred to stay quiet about his beliefs and listen to Mudclaw, Wrenflight has never backed down in her views. This is what Stagleap found so curious about her.
Stagleap grew up as the largest apprentice in the Clan, and eventually became the largest warrior in the Clan. He was always respected for his strength, though there was an ever-present expectation that he had to be strong at all times. With Wrenflight, he didn't have to worry about that. It wasn't long before the two became mates and welcomed their new kits.
Onekit was named for being the only survivor of his litter, considered the strongest by Stagleap. When he was named Onepaw, his younger siblings Ashkit and Morningkit were born, and the two looked up to him. As he got older, he grew closer to cats outside his own Clan, encouraged by his mother. He sought to bring the Clans together, befriending WinterClan and SummerClan cats alike, though Stagleap never liked his affinity for WinterClan. Meanwhile, Morningpaw and Ashpaw preferred to stay within their own camp. While Ashpaw was dismissive of outsider connections, Morningpaw was fascinated by Tinypaw's stories of another world, and though she'd never dream of venturing out into the unknown, she's content to hear stories of such adventures.
