Elizabeth was usually wary of people who knew her name, which explains why she was so stiff when the woman came up to her. Her appearance seemed familiar, but not enough for Elizabeth to name her. "I'm sorry-- I don't believe I know you?"

"Swan!" Pearl could hardly believe whom she noticed amongst all the faces. A familiar one. Sure, it wasn’t Jack, the person she needed to see most. But it was Elizabeth Swan. And that face was good enough for her. "Oh my," Pearl gasped at her, flipping her hair to the side to get a better look at her. "I haven’t seen you in so long." Pearl began babbling like they were old friends, and in a sense, they sort of were. "How are you?"

"I ran away from my family hoping to start a fresh new life. Then I noticed that he was looking for new crew members and I so happen to volunteer. I mostly help set the sails down and clean the deck."

  "I don’t think the jewels made much difference at that point… but I admit we do need to make an exit." Pulling a face at something he saw over her shoulder, he added "And preferably, as soon as possible."
