Oh, look who finally decided to finish that game he stopped playing midway a few months ago.
Digital Devil Saga as a whole was a very refreshing experience for me. The integration of many different themes and mainly using them as a framework for the narrative was very satisfying to see.
The soundtrack was of course, superb. What else do you expect from the compositions of the Shoji Meguro?
It's also worth noting the way each part of the duology have their unique outlines in pretty much everything. Though I have to say, the dungeon designs, I'm just not that much of a fan of, especially the sun. Though regardless, there's just something about weaving your way through and constantly getting jumped by a myriad of enemies which you painstakingly try to defeat every single time AS you're obligated to solve puzzles and whatever.
But to sum it up, the duology was very endearing. The conclusion was fulfilling, I loved the characters, especially Argilla and Gale, and the entire experience was just a rollercoaster of emotions, both for the story and the gameplay.
"Can people change?"
"If they realize it."

"The best love is the one that makes you a better person, without changing you into someone other than yourself."

The latest chapter of Skip & Loafer was something else, it made me reflect a lot on myself.
Whether it be a romantic or platonic one, building interpersonal relationships is always a journey of dynamic growth. That isn't to say you need long-winding relationships for that to occur. If anything, some people learn more from the shortest encounters and such.
And the ones that accept you for who you are the most profound and heartfelt.
In retrospect, I never really realized how much I cherished this value until now. Makes me miss those close friends that are currently studying from afar.

A decision born of love.
What does it mean to let someone go? Do you have to do it while coming in to terms with the possibility of never having them in your grasp once more? Or… does it simply mean to let things be? To accept that some things have their own path to tread?
Liz and The Blue Bird presents the weight of that decision, and embraces the idea altogether.
But… why?
Letting go doesn't inherently lead to a total loss after all.
To be able to let go means to be able to acknowledge the position you hold in that relationship, to acknowledge everything you can regarding yourself and the other party.
In the end, letting go can mean many things.
In this case, Nozomi and Mizore, through the reflection of their relationship and their internal feelings regarding one another, find their calling and manage to embrace the path that their heart wants to take by letting go and flapping their wings respectively.
The heart of Liz and The Blue Bird is relatively simple, but that fact alone has made it linger in my heart more than anything I've watched or read, for that matter. Through its superb visual narrative, amazing display of human emotions, and immersing soundtrack, I always find myself feeling glad to be living every time I watch it.
This film means soooo mucchhhhh to meeeeeeeeee

For two people to say they love each other is essentially a declaration of faith - that they'll continue to choose loving each other for who they are. It means to accept the fact that both of them will eventually change, that the kindling of affection that both of them currently feel for each other can fluctuate, that they'll stick to one another through thick and thin, and that they'll live through and for each other's entire being.
Of course, though such feelings remain genuine from their first spark within a person's thoughts, there are some things that you just can't force.
And that's fine.

nadeko as a character really hits me right in the heartstrings. so this arc, dedicated to the way she faces, accepts and embraces her past in an attempt to move forward to the future is so endearing and inspiring❤️
i truly loved every bit of it.
