my favorite thing about the “every statement giver feels the need to mention how shitty gerry’s dye job is” thing is that it makes sense if you think about it for a second: it’s an audio-only medium and we need to be able to recognize recurring characters, but the people talking don’t know their names, so it makes sense that every character would need a distinct physical trait to serve as a sort of calling card
but then you think about it for another second and remember that gertrude’s calling card is literally just “old woman.” like you understand meta-textual storytelling enough to understand that if someone says an old woman showed up they probably mean gertrude. and gerry is goth. which is a much more distinct trait than “old woman.” like that was more than enough on its own. that would have fully served the purpose. the dye job really was just that bad.

Ceasefire talks are everywhere and people are holding their breathe for the news. We are awaiting our first night going to sleep without wondering if we’ll be bombed or if we’ll wake up.
But we are also scared. Scared of that moment that the adrenaline wears off and we realize what we lost. Scared of our new reality. Scared of going back to our homes that’s now nothing but rubble.
I know in the year after the ceasefire, we will not be allowed to rest. We need to rebuild our homes, our schools, our hospitals, etc. We need to keep going. That’s what we Palestinians do, we keep going.
We need your support to restore hope in us. Support us here, so that hope in us as Palestinians does not fade away. Donate here

if you’ve ever kept any kind of bug as a pet (i used to raise madagascar hissing cockroaches, myself), then it is pretty obvious that they have feelings and are capable of great individuality and even personality among members of their own species. there is a tendency to not be willing to admit this, which i think comes from a place of convenience moreso than of ignorance. it’s not that people don’t know bugs are little animals, it’s that thinking of them that way makes life a bit more complicated. still, it’s not like i’m going to give up fly paper…

discovering mechanisms in 2024 and trying to dig up all the canon and fanon lore and understand everything feels like being an archeologist digging up ancient tombs with encryptions in long forgotten language

I was on YouTube and clicked on a 28 hour long video with a black title card, and it opened with Markiplier’s voice saying, “Hello everybody my name is Markipler and this is your Daily Dose of Internet.”
It was literally just DDOI, but it had Markiplier‘s face cam in the top left corner and he would add commentary every now and then. Halfway through, his house was exploded in the heat death of the universe and his face cam showed vibrant patterns and ethereal shapes as the clips continued like normal.

Knowing the homeless man has to sit and watch Ted make all of the mistakes that lead to him losing everything and fucking up his own life really speaks to me and further solidifies it as my favourite hatchetfield plot line.
