Thoughts on Robot Revolution (Spoilers!) under the cut:

- Visually stunning, I love the designs of the robots and the colours! Feast for the eyes! I like the idea of cutting the funding for dw as much as the next guy, but i must admit i was enjoying myself…

-Belinda is cool! I feel like she’s a little unrealistic with how confident she is after being kidnapped by robots and suddenly bombarded with extraterrestrial nonsense? . like even Donna was freaked out at first. But whatever i guess. maybe that’s just me

-I like her having autonomy and actually clashing with the doctor! like YES get some conflict between the doctor and the companion PLEASE we have been STARVED for that

-me watching sasha get introduced, knowing that she’s going to die, and then watching the doctor cry over her death: 😐 (she was obviously death fodder and i couldnt care less)

-“planet of the incels” BWAHAHAH okay that shocked a laugh out of me i must admit

-AI themes are nice but heavyhanded.

-dont care about the new grandiose mystery that RTD is clearly setting up. Considering last season’s finale was underwhelming, I dont have high hopes

-FORCED to be the doctor’s companion. she’s LOCKED IN. cant back out now there’s a spacey wacey barrier between you and your normal life! whoops!

-the doctor who showrunners every once in a while, twiddling their fingers: hear me out. what if the companion was in the medical profession

-general concept of owning a star and then being hailed as its ruler is pretty good. i like it!

-polishing robot my beloved

-mrs flood was there. she broke the fourth wall. would it be mean to say that i dont care. mrs flood can go eat drywall as far as im concerned. i’ll leave the caring to everyone else

-doctor saying “Yass Queen” will Not age well 😭 and the weird jargon “coercion somethingorother” (i cant remember what the phrase was) in normal sentences felt forced and unnatural to me? this will only make sense if you watch the episode i fear

-overall, i enjoyed it even though a lot of the elements were underdeveloped or weirdly done. very much looking forward to next episode with the cartoons and the (im expecting) terrible american accents
