'Kids These Days,' or Adults These Days?
For as long as humans have existed there have been people outraged by the actions of others. There is a long running trope of 'kids these days'. It is the young people of today who are ruining everything, says the next generation. I think it was Socrates who complained about the youth of the day reading newspapers. (They would surely be the downfall of humanity.) The gall of those folks.
Well, this time I'm afraid that it is the older generation who just won't let go of the past that is destroying any shred of humanity or civilization that we have left.
If I thought that growing up was hard in the 00's I can't even imagine how hard it is for young people of today. It is hard enough to have your body and brain changing but to have the added scrutiny of social media and hundreds or thousands of prying eyes makes it that much worse.
Then you throw all of that in with being on the brink of world and civil war, the destruction of the environment, the burning of the rainforests to make grazing land for people's inexhaustible passion for animal protein... it seems quite hopeless at times.

This is a great movie that is still applicable today. Oblio is a boy born without a point in a land where EVERYTHING has a point. Excluding people based on what they look like, or the shape of their heads is as old as time itself. It needs to stop. There is a great plot twist at the end!

“It’s a spiral of negativity, Just one person waking up cranky can create a spark and, because of discussion context and voting, these sparks can spiral out into cascades of bad behavior. Bad conversations lead to bad conversations. People who get down-voted come back more, comment more and comment even worse.” - Jure Leskovec

#StopCensoringAbortion Campaign
A Campain to Ensure Access to Information About Abortion & Providers to Those in Need
This a subject near and dear to my heart. Yeah, we all have our own views about this, but I believe that children should be cherished and loved and not be forced on unwilling participants who won't care for them.
This article from the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) fights back against increasing content moderation surrounding abortion pill access. Pregnant women are on a timeline and need urgent access to up to date and unbiased information to make the best choice for themselves and their families.
