These are the things I'm thinking about. I think about things a lot, and so this is my mental stream, my inner monologue and musings on pretty much everything and anything. they like to call it a 'life stream'. So now my life has a stream of its own. I'm a father, husband, trance DJ, music producer, graphic designer, web developer, track athlete (100m sprinter), athletics coach, health fanatic, train Cross Fit, and love the Zeitgeist Movies and Venus Project. So you may find posts related to all that stuff - in other words, pretty much anything!

Fat People's Shopping Trolleys
You ever found yourself looking at what other people shove in their shopping trolleys? Ever taken a look at what the really unhealthy and obese people tend to have in their trolleys? Just the other day I was in my local supermarket, and I took a look around at the quality of the 'food' items many people had chosen. To be blunt, I was both disgusted, and upset by what I saw. There's no shortage of unhealthy, overweight folk in my town of Ulladulla in Australia. The common theme I found in all of these unhealthy shopping trolleys, was not so much lollies and chips, but a complete lack of real foods. The trolleys were simply filled to the brim with packaged, boxed snacks and meals. Frozen foods, processed foods, snack bars, packet noodles etc. No fresh fruit, no fresh vegetables, and barely any good slices of meat. I saw plenty of bread, pastas and rices too.
I wish I could instantly transplant all of the health and diet information that I have digested over the past decade into all these people's brains. I feel very sorry that they have not had the opportunity to gather and learn information on what we are supposed to eat.
So worrying to think that almost everything in the isles of your standard supermarket should be tossed and burned, leaving only the fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, nuts, eggs and spices. Ironic that some supermarkets here in Australia call themselves 'The Fresh Food People' when 95% of the food stuffs they sell are processed, stored, packaged foods in the isles.
Tip for anyone trying to get healthy - avoid the isles. Only buy stuff that grows, or walks, or hatches.

There's too much tech!
If you're like me, and you hit engadget.com several times a day, you start to see just how many tech gadgets are being released in what seems like a constant stream. The trend is for a select few companies to have market leading products while other companies release similar functioning, competitor products that really just don't quite cut it. I often wonder why some companies bother? Do we really need two dozen different kinds of Android Tablets coming out? We have the iPad and the XOOM that already fill the table space nicely. I get that it's nice to have the freedom of choice, but I'd personally rather see all the companies work together on one or two key products and make them amazing. I get that competition drives innovation, but surely there could be a paradigm shift in the thinking of companies and then they could start working together? I guess it all boils down to money and business, and in my ideal world there'd be no money, but that's for another day.

Transformers - The Animated Movie. Still enjoy watching this one even though it is over twenty years old. In my opinion it has more to it than the first two Michael Bay films combined. What's striking about this movie is the seriousness of it when compared to the G1 (first generation) Transformers US cartoons. Loved the sound track, loved the voice acting (especailly Orson Wells as the planet-eating Unicron), and loved the Optimus Prime battle scene at Autobot City. Bay's films have great effects, and I'm hoping Dark Of The Moon ups the quality of the script and story somewhat. But for me, the 1986 Animated film is still my favourite.

My Tune of the week is an amazingly uplifting and smoothly produced track. It is: Mark Eteson - Blackboard (John O'Bir Remix). You can hear it as the opening track in my latest podcast episode here.

WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
My earliest human memory is of watching people, presumably my pop and his mates, adding extensions to the house I was living in. I was watching from the front yard, standing on the lawn. I remember it was a clear day, blue sky, and it was most likely 1983. I was two.
