She appreciated it on one hand, the other- made her feel like a burden. His body warmth helped ease her trembling body and she breathes deep attempting to calm her mind - that’s when he kisses her back. It serves its purpose and distracts the confectioner of her sorrows for the moment, bringing heat to her paled cheeks, if it weren’t so dark and early in the morning, surely he’d see it for himself. 

But it weren’t enough, his smile, his lips, their entanglement- she whimpers once more and feels her words caught in her throat.

“ One more… ” 

She found that she often asked for more than what someone such as Byakuya could manage, but it never stopped her from making the suggestion. As she were something of a ‘princess’ who huffed and puffed if never getting her way- it were better for Byakuya to not fight it, lest she make him regret it. 

Exhausted though, especially with the reoccurring nightmares, Ruruka couldn’t exactly fight the heir and looks away briefly, awaiting his response. 

“Yes, yes. I understand that much.”  Really, he knew how selfish she could, however he had no reason to dislike that. In fact, he secretly enjoyed the fact that she was rather needing of him. However, he tried his best to also give her the correct support that she truly needed. To be able to stand on her own and face the future with or without him by her side.

Though hearing her demand, he couldn’t help but smile. She really was a spoiled person, however, he didn’t mind spoiling her every once in a while.

“You really are spoiled...Ruruka. I guess, that’s my fault isn’t it?”

With that, the scion gently placed his hand on her cheek to slowly turn her face towards him once more. Soon, he started to lean in towards her to gently place his lips on hers once more, this time he moved his body in closer to her, wrapping his arms around her and embracing her. Pulling away from the kiss after a while, another smirk was placed on his face.

“Does the princess want anything else?”

Always so serious – it was  to be EXPECTED from someone such as him. Not willing to take a hit to her pride - she decided it would be best to LIE a bit.

Well, at least he got through her a bit. She isn’t making him play her rather lacking guessing game. He was more then sure what were the reasons behind the picture in the first place, however he did enjoy yes or nos over guessing a finishing puzzle, even if he was sure that it was complete.

What an annoying game, making him run around in circles to guess what she wished she wanted. Skimming over the text messages caused the scion to groan a bit. Opening his phone once more to return the message.

[Text: Maizono] Well, even if you were joking. For these sort of issues, I prefer a full frontal answer, not something that can be seen as something else. It’s quite simple. I wish for a yes or no situation out of everything.

The desperation that Owari held in her eyes, a sight one could say was rare to any that knew of how Owari usually carried her self. Rather then holding confidence and pride similar to that of a lion’s, she expressed confusion and a sense of fear similar to that of kitten surviving on its own.

Why did he hold onto to a piece of metal that meant nothing to many yet the world to Owari?

Did he even know what it was?

Dark hues slowly following his every step, seeing what ti was he would do. She reacted not to his words but the posture he took upon sitting besides the bed side. She understood, he was willing to listen. To hear her story. A man that man considered selfish and egotistical, willingly giving her a moment to speak of the importance of this bracelet.

His calm reactions, having allowed her to regain a sense of calm herself. Taking her own hand to her wrist, gripping at it tightly as she gathered her breathing slowly.

“….please.” she began, voice cracking but she cleared her throat making an effort to be able to speak about this.

“…please return it. It belon’s t’ me…it belonged t-t’….her.”

So that’s what it was. The value of the piece of junk metal wasn’t it’s actual worth but the memories it held. That’s what rang out to Togami, the very thing that it kept telling him that to make sure to always have it on. To make sure not to lose and check where he placed it every night before he went to bed. It wasn’t important to him, in fact, it held no value to him and he could of easily discarded it. Though, he was glad he didn’t if anything, the only thing he learned from his parents was that if people held something important to them they would fight to no end to keep it.

This was what this bracelet was to Owari, something important that she was willing to fight for. However, he wasn’t sure if in her current state, she could even do that. So he would leave it up to a test, Togami knew that he would look like a monster for doing this. Yet, he also knew, every good story needed a monster. A person or reason that drove the main character to do what it needed to do, and right now. He would play the role of the monster for the heroine Akane Owari.

“Is that so Owari? So this piece of metal means something important to you?” A small huff escaped his lips, it was almost if he didn’t like the idea that it was important to her. Moving his hand away from her, he crossed it under his other hand putting the bracelet away from sight. “Prove it to me that it means as much as you make it sound Owari.” He lifted his gaze to stare her in the eyes. It was clear that his challenge he would not waver from, no matter how disgusted she became with him. That feeling of hate towards him was nothing new, and what was it to add another name to that list.

“Get better and defeat your despair that you dug yourself into. Then, I’ll give it back to you. The very least is promise that I will wear it until I believe you have meet this criteria, so you have no reason to worry about it being lost.”
