You all prove valid points!! I’m so so sorry that I worded this so badly. Im in no way trying to be transphobic/biphobic/aphobic. I’m not on tumblr often so I didn’t see the amount of traction this got until today.

I did shoot myself in the foot with this one as stated. I didn’t word it properly (as said) and I didn’t reread it and even think about the fact that it could be interpreted as biphobic (which is super dumb.. I’m bi for gods sake).

As for the “opposite sex” thing,, I can’t really do myself any favors on that one. Reading over it now, I realize how transphobic it sounds to some and that is not my intention at all.. I’m sorry that I made it seem that way.

I was trying to make a quick and snappy post on ace discourse and it backfired on me, as it should’ve. I’m now actively going to try to either keep my nose out of where it doesn’t belong and make sure I know the point that I’m trying to make before I make any more discourse posts.

I know not everybody who saw my original post, which is now deleted, will see this. I want to try and fix what I’ve done, but obviously that isn’t completely possible because people are going to disagree with me no matter what I do.

I’m very embarrassed at myself for making that post. I apologize to anybody who got hurt by the post or saw biphobic/transphobic/aphobic undertones that were not supposed to be there in the first place.

Thank you for calling me out or else I wouldn’t have realized how terrible I sound here.

this sounds kinda weird but am i the only bi person who gets a little weirded out by the term “bisexuals” ?????

like I know that’s technically what we are, but it just leaves a sour taste in my throat.

it’s not that im not proud of being bi, i am. i love it and wouldn’t change it if i had the choice. and i like the term “bis” to a certain extent, so ive considered the idea that it might be the concept of having “sexual” directly in the name. since bi ppl are often known as people who “can and will fuck anything,” saying “bisexuals,” doesn’t exactly help with the sexualization of bi people.

it’s also probably because ive heard it in such negative connotations (living in southern usa with an unaccepting family), like saying “all of those bisexuals nowadays” and things of the sort.

does anyone else understand what I mean??
