Shidou Ryusei is an amazing key character to the series, always high in the rankings, he's amazing at soccer of course and he in general is a pretty happy- go-lucky silly guy, right? But theres something strange going on about him.

When Shidou gets sent to the 'punishment room' after fighting Rin. When he first wakes up, he doesn't immediately freak out, in fact for a little bit he actually looks peaceful/calm, like he's been through this before.

During U-20 he mentions 'Wounding others to form memories with people'. This made me wonder if him mentioning this possibly implies that was what happened to him? His violence, his constant lashing out, his overly sexual behavior can also be read as him being hypersexual which is a trauma response.

In his egoist bible, Shidou's entries are concerning. His favorite movie, The Clockwork Orange is a HEAVILY violent moving including Sexual Assault and Abuse. His favorite animanga Chainsaw Man has grooming and violence as a few of its main themes. His family isn't listed which is strange considering Kaiser still considers his FATHER, the man that abused him, to be his family, his fetishes, despite his sexual behavior, types, or anything regarding his past isn't listed in the Egoist Bible either. But what's most concerning to me, is the fact that Shidou cries at the end of each day when he becomes "nothing". One his free days, he becomes "nothing". Whatever this "nothing" is, its the very thing that makes him cry, he feels like "nothing" but, why?
