i was today years old when I learned that Lucifer has a circus ringmaster theme

the outfit? then that part of More Than Anything when he and Charlie are flying, the pocket dimension place looks like a circus tent? him being a ruler of the rings of Hell?

i found this out via a Youtube comment (the video is Hazbin hotel: Modern Musical Done Right) that pointed out Lucifer's role as king of Hell - not entirely word for word, but essentially, his main job is to hype up other acts and lay the ground work so they can stand out, which fits the supportive role he takes for Charlie.

am i the only one who hadn't figured this out yet even tho it was kinda staring at me in the face - aka his outfit which i thought was just Viv having a thing for suits?

just saw a comment while reading the first chapters of My Happy Marriage and one of the comments said they'd drop it bc this is gonna be another one of those 'ML is a coldhearted war criminal but the FL will fix him' type of stories which is so funny, having watched the anime

because it is so far from that trope

if anything, Kiyoka is technically the one to save her, but Miyo's character arc? That's her own doing. She has agency. The people around her that genuinely care for her only helped her along the way, most of it is Miyo. And Kiyoka isn't even actually cold- well, he was at first, but ultimately he's a kind, caring man and it showed pretty early on

I totally get having trust issues because of manhwas and webtoons (god there's a lot with that exact trope and it hurts- i myself have instantly dropped a webtoon the SECOND the FL went "he's evil...but why do i feel so attracted to him?" like NOPE), but damn they got it so wrong it simultaneously hurt and made me laugh

an enemies to lovers dynamic with Kyoya Ootori? IMMACULATE. It is arguably the perfect kind of dynamic to keep him interested and makes for some saucy chemistry and banter

but yknow what? i would also really love to see this man - this cunning, business-savvy and lowkey red flag of a man - to fall apart over a cute girl/guy who just happens to hit the right buttons for him. Maybe he's sapiosexual - he's highly into intelligence - or maybe the apple of his eye is just a huge positive influence/presence to have in his life, idk.

I just absolutely adore people like him, the super composed, smart and logical 'nothing can get past me or faze me' type, become an absolute mess because he's enamored with someone
