Do your thing. Do it unapologetically. Don’t be discouraged by criticism. You probably already know what they’re going to say. Pay no mind to the fear of failure. It’s far more valuable than success. Take ownership, take chances, and have fun. And no matter what, don’t ever stop doing your thing.

It has taken a day for me to process how incredible this past weekend was, and come up with an accurate way to describe how incredible it felt to complete my first two trips down the centerline competing in the U25. While neither test was perfect, I exceeded my own goals for our first attempt and I am very encouraged by the effort we were able to produce in the showring. When we first purchased Schaneur he had so much to teach me, however this weekend was increasingly rewarding as I was given the opportunity to showcase the training that we have accomplished together. I am so grateful to have been able to accomplish this goal, and for all of the people who have continued to support me throughout this journey!

Note
where do you buy your saddle pads/what brands are they? they always look so pretty!
Most of the ones I use are Schockemohle, USG, or PRI. I have a couple of Eskadron and Smartpak ones mixed in as well. Most of them come from tack stores or vendors at shows, but if I am looking for a particular color/brand I will typically order online.

Just going to throw this post up to remind myself of things from this week's lessons I want to write more about when I have time -don't panic -forward to the piaffe/fluidity between passage&piaffe -corners -look in the halfpass/ride the gait not the halfpass -don't spill the champagne
