Across the far northern region of the Gressunian Empire lies the Great Iron Forest (Isernfyrhp). Famed for its sturdy and hardened lumber, it also lies the home of one of the 2 tribal federations within the empire, the Ironwood Federation. The Ironwood Federation houses the great 6 'Nations' of Ironwood. One of them is the nation of Afortruma (Sharp Root), known for the cultivation of dangerous yet potent flora and above all home to the Ironwood Fearrox.
Unlike the Fearrox who reside outside of the Ironwood, the Afortrumans would be considered outliers for their kin. Given the harsh environment they reside the Afortrumans have adapted to a more cautious approach to warfare, preferring the mastery of ranged combat and fighting asymmetrically in small groups. Thanks to the sturdy lumber of their homeland, it has helped the Afortruman develop the Greatbow.
Considered one of the hardest weapons to master due to the necessary height and great strength to draw it. To the Afortrumans it is simply second nature. All Afortrumans children upon reaching the age of 6 will undergo archery training under the tutor of either a returned war veteran or experienced hunter and receive their first bow. This training would continue until either they broke their bow or reached the age of 12.
Upon reaching such a milestone, they are then tasked with hunting their first game. In which they will begin crafting their Great bow while testing and adjusting it to ensure it is deemed suitable by the tutor. Upon completion, they are given the liberty to accomplish their goal by any means and are given ample time.
Regardless of what they bring back the whole purpose of the trial is mostly to test the young hunters and identify those who excel the most. While on the hunt, the tutor would silently shadow them to observe them in action. Those who didn't fully excel through the trial would return to be celebrated as adults by the tribes. While those who excel would be shortlisted as possible "taxation" candidates for the Imperial Army for the next tax season.

The 4th Elonoria Guard, Heavy Cavalry, Nicknamed the "Iron Draca", earned their monicker from their horned helms, and are among the 15 companies from the renowned Guards of Elanoria. They served as heavy shock counter cavalry. Usually favour riding into combat with their Imperial Gryphons fully clad in heavy plate armour. While some notable few among their ranks earned their mounts from taming their more wilder brethren near the territories of the Northern Dominions. These soldiers would be armed with their special hammer-glaive, A blunted spear with sharp blades protruding from the sides of the spear. They would accompany their main armaments with either maces, war hammers, or even parrying swords.
The 4th Company was originally a part of the personal retinue of the Duchy of Bluteisen, formed in a reaction to an imperial call to war during the Blood Ducal wars. The company would play a pivotal role during the war, especially during the battle for Cosaignee Bridge, and the Trudov Pass. Which they would prevent and routed flanking manoeuvres made by Sorrelian cavalries. The Blood Ducal War would prove their worth and earn the attention of the Imperial Court in Elanoria. By the end of the war, the company would be elevated to the status of the 4th Company of the Elanorain Guards.
Afterwards, they would continue to take part in future Imperial Campaigns as Campaign Guards and would be the chosen favourites among the 14th Acoren "Thunder", 4th Acoren "Hunting Hounds", and 15th Acoren "Berghoff's Sheild".
