One year of folklore

So this time last year I was absolutely burnt out. I’m a med student and 2020 was tough enough, but on top of that I had just finished studying for the most important exam of any future docs life. I felt disillusioned at the state of the world, the lack of control I felt in my own life.....

I remember laying in bed listening to folklore. My God, it was nice to escape. And to hear a song about healthcare workers when I felt like nobody gave a s***t about us. I felt inspired. I wrote a poem about how I felt during the pandemic as a med student. It got published- I got published for the first time, after 10 years of doing research on and off.

Anyway I don’t share often. But I am thankful for all the artists who remind us of the purpose and magic of life. If you make art, please continue to do so. We appreciate you.
