We want to inform you about two security issues recently discovered, one of which has already been resolved.

Issue #1: It was discovered that account data could be at risk if your UID is shared publicly. While the risk is very low, we recommend keeping your UID private and sharing it only through personal messages, not on public forums. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.0.38100 (which should be already available on the App/Play Store or coming very soon). Please note that after updating to version 1.0.38100, your account will no longer work on earlier versions of the game.

Issue #2: We are investigating a Windows/Steam issue that could allow access to some existing profiles on these platforms. This issue does not affect iOS or Android users. We take this matter very seriously and are committed to further enhancing the security of Windows/Steam accounts in future updates.

On UID and data security on RC

Hello, RC folks! Some of you might hear but there's an increase of RC users' accounts being hacked and stolen via UIDs. The hole in the security seems to be even worse: one RC blogger conducted an experiment. Her friend was able to log in her account just by knowing her UID despite the fact that the said blogger linked her account to login and password, her Google account, and also has two factor authentication on Steam (Source: her post on her TG channel in Russian)

Right now I highly recommend you not sharing your UID at all (Even with people you know and are 100% sure in). As far as I know RC team hasn't commented on this problem yet.

Saw info going around in the Russian fandom that there have been cases of people stealing RC accounts usind the UIDs (the number you use to add friends on the app). Can't confirm, but it may be better not to post your UID publicly for now just in case until RC comment on the situation officially.

I don't know how you people from other countries see this scene, but this touching arm situation is a bit uncomfortable for me. And that's coming from someone who lives in a country where people you just met greet you with kisses on the cheek (btw, that's a habit from Brazil I personally don't like).

One might point out I'm an anti-giraffeneck, but my real issue is that he's her boss and they're at their workplace, where other people (like Harper Emery, who happens to be his ex and their boss) could see this interaction. So far, I've had no real reason to nag about him, but this? Nope. This is inappropriate to me. Specially because I know Open Heart writers's intention behind this scene and I find it ridiculous.
