Opinion of TVD

So I made a post of DE a while ago and I guess we’re back to the topic of The Vampire Diaries all over again. 

My life used to revolve around this show. It was always on my mind and I loved it a lot. Things changed later on. I later moved on, but I always stayed up to date about whatever the characters were doing. 

Now that Nina Dobrev is gone and with the seventh season, I’m just done. I used to defend TVD from any negative review there was out there, but now I’m just laughing because I agree so much. 

The Mikaelson’s were one of the best villans I have ever seen. The chemistry between ships like Stelena and Klaroline were amazing. 

I loved it for all because of this: 

But then this had to happen: 

I absolutely hated it. The DE storyline was absolutely uninteresting for me. I couldn’t believe that just because Elena was now a vampire her feelings for Damon had to be intensified and the sire bond had to be created. 

Stefan gave Elena everything she ever wanted. Respect, a perfect boyfriend, etc. But she just had to throw that all away for the brother that treated her like crap. And HE DIDN’T EVEN GIVE HER THE RIGHT TO STATE HER OWN OPINION. 

I tried to keep watching, but I just completely gave up. Not only was the DE storyline boring for me, the numbers of viewers started to drop too after season 4. 

After Nina announced her departure, I gave season 6 a try because I guess it was just right to watch Elena’s last season. There were some pretty sweet Stelena moments, I have to admit.

The last episode with Elena going through the sleeping spell, well I had mixed feelings about that one. I felt that it was a little rushed, but then again Nina leaving the show was rushed too. 

I thought Elena’s goodbye to Stefan was really sweet. 

In case you missed it, she thanked him for bumping into her in the hallway and how she thought she would be sad forever until Stefan came into her life. Elena later said that she loved him so much. 

Even though I loved that part, I wasn’t so happy with her later goodbye to Damon. “I love you, Damon Salvatore.”? Julie Plec gave us so much hope in the other episodes what the hell happened. Stelena was supposed to be endgame. 

A fan pointed it out on Twitter and Julie replied with how DE were together in that season. NO. Goddamn work some of your writer magic. Oh wait never mind, you’re Julie Plague. Your writing skills have gone bad. Oh if only Kevin Williamson was there. 

So then there’s season 7. 

I’m not impressed. The ratings have gone way down since they lost their lead girl. I can’t believe that the writers were trying to recreate Stefan and Katherine’s love story with Valerie. 

The three year time loop? Caroline gets some fiancé and Bonnie just had to hook up with the character with a different one with no decent storyline since season 5. 

Alaric used to be such a great character. But then he got dragged into the same shit as the other characters. Tragic. 

Honestly, I’m done with this show. I would love for Nina to come back, but sadly that chapter’s closed. This show is past the gone and now I’m done with vampires. Of course I’m watching The Originals, I love it, but I have a feeling that it’s going to be fucked up soon. 

Bottom line, I am no longer interested in what The Vampire Diaries has going on.
