doc walked in, his steps careful and slow, though they looked precisely planned as his eyes scanned the room for wyatt. the saloon and gambling tables were bustling, as always, and he wasn’t sure he could locate his friend as he was currently seeing double.

finally, blue eyes settled on the familiar face and the corner of doc’s lip tugged up as he met wyatt’s gaze, nodding the slightest bit to tip his hat. his favorite tin cup in hand, doc made his way over to the table in what appeared to be a relaxed, calm state, his other hand occupied by placing the half-smoked cigarette between his lips as he finally made it to wyatt’s table.

“i knew you couldn’t stay away... what’d i tell you before, wyatt? only suckers buck the tiger. the odds are all on the house,” he said, a small laugh bubbling up.
