I had a serious health scare in February

for weeks after I got the all clear from cardiology I went around with this feeling like thank God, I'm just so happy to be here and not have to think about the end for another several decades. And then I forgot that lesson and go about unsatisfied and irritable like nothing ever happened

I have to fill two grad school prerequisites at a community college

Im studying something unrelated to my undergrad major, so im required to take two undergrad-lvl courses this summer. one of them is unbelievable. the instructor's lectures are quite literally entire sections of the textbook read aloud verbatim. I was i guess you'd say a para-educator for 2.5 years and I cannot imagine how boring it would be to teach like that. the class sessions are just under 3 hours long. We have yet to be assigned to write anything longer than three pages

I feel what the kids call blackpilled wondering how much of american edu is like that, just rote credential-oriented hoop jumping. Noone could seriously believe students benefit from this
