Anyone ever think about how wild it was that back in ~2014, the biggest piece of lesbian fandom media was Carmilla, a webseries about vampires executive produced by a tampon company?

You know what's really screwed up about Eren's confession to Armin in the end? He admits to Armin that he knew only 20% of the human population would be saved, that 80% would perish, and even knowing that, he still went ahead and enacted the Rumbling. He knew the conflict wouldn't be solved, or ended, by enacting the Rumbling, because he knew the future, and knew that he wouldn't succeed in wiping out the entirety of humanity beyond the walls. He knew by enacting the Rumbling, he would only worsen the conflict and ensure its continued existence. He knew, in the end, that he was in fact dooming Paradis, not saving it. And he did it anyway. He did what he wanted anyway. That's why Armin gets so upset and angry at him, why he asks him so emphatically "why?", because he realizes what Eren is saying, what he's confessing to being. If anyone ever had any doubt, or actually thought Eren did it to save Paradis or the Eldian's or his friends, his confession to Armin at the end unequivocally proves otherwise. Eren did it because he wanted to. Because he wanted to see the sight of an empty, desolate world. That's what ultimately broke Eren, having to be faced with the truth of his own monstrosity. He couldn't hide from it, even as he initially lies to Armin and tries to tell him he did it to save his friends. Eren was a monster. Tragic for how he genuinely cared about his friends, genuinely loved them, but he couldn't put them over his own, selfish desires, and couldn't overcome his own, horrendous nature. Eren is a cautionary tale too, for what happens when we persecute others, and blame others and collectively punish others for things they didn't do. Eventually, it leads to someone gaining power who shouldn't have it. An idiot like Eren, a child like Eren. He never matured as a human being. He never grew. He retained the selfishness of a child to the very end. And we see then what a person like Eren does with that power. Truly terrifying.

Unironically I think we need just a more powerful DS again. Dual screens fuck. The amount of creativity and interactivity and cool UI that went into DS games is literally unmatched and like those things were tough as fuck too. Please hear my wish. I get that the switch is technically handheld and thus portable but also no it is not that thang is so delicate and lacks the sophistication of just being able to shut it at a moments notice to pause everything without having to hit a pause menu. Does anyone hear me. Hello. Pokémon ranger.

krista (yes im calling her krista) and ymir was one of the first lesbian couples in anime that i ever seen that wasn't fetished or played for jokes. almost all the animes with lesbians at this time were doing just that. so seeing two girls just fall in love without any weird ass shit was a fresh breath of air.
this couple really impacted me. the way ymir was just so open with her love for krista, and she didn't give af abt what other people thought. she still loved krista. like i just love them so fucking much. like omg.
and don't get me started on that fucking letter. i will forever cry to that scene. they deserve so much love. like ughh. they're so sweet.

same thing for snow’s internal dialog in tbosas. the movie did what it could but the book will always be in another league
It physically pains me that there are people who only know The Hunger Games through the movies. Not in a judgmental way, just in a way where I wish better for them. I like the movies well enough, but the books are in a different league. Knowing Katniss’s internal dialogue really changes your perspective on everything. For me, it made things so much more compelling. Plus the story is so much more complex and nuanced in the books. You get far more world building and character backstory in the books that really takes it to the next level. The movies are good, but the books are life changing to me.

i think it’s more implied that tigris “sold her body” to help make ends meet. It’s implied that she does this towards the beginning of the book and coryo has a negative opinion about it, even though she does it to help him have a better life as well.
it’s also implied in one of Lucy’s songs as well that she may have had paid relations to make ends meet, and book!coryo even thinks ab the implications and is disgusted by it.
and then he also forced victors like finnick to do the same thing to hold power over them despite their celebrity status.
i cant stop thinking about the theory that tigris turned to cannibalism during the war, and maybe even fed some to snow without him knowing, and that is what caused the huge falling out between them
because we know she would often nibble the raw meat, is in charge of cooking for the family, and she has said they’ve all done things things not proud of during the war. considering the absolute disgust snow has towards persephone because he thinks she’s eaten human meat. tigris was there when snow saw it, and i would not be surprised if that gave her an idea about how she could feed her family.
and because of how close snow and tigris are it’s so hard to imagine what could have possibly driven them apart, i think cannibalism is where snow draws the line, especially how he even enforces that the one rule in the arena is no cannibalism. that is the only thing i can think of that would ruin their relationship such irreconcilably
