me rewatching love for love’s sake (for probably the 4th/5th time?) on a random wednesday bc i think it’ll be a casual rewatch but god it hits me like a truck every time.

cha yeowoon’s sad puppy face. myungha doing everything he can to make yeowoon happy because he hates that good people sometimes don’t get the ending they deserve. the build up to yeowoon being interested and falling in love with myungha. the underlying messaging of being able to accept and receive love. to lean and rely on the people around you. it’s not just about loving yourself - but believing you are worthy of love. the reveal about myungha’s past and that’s when it all clicks. the way he keeps getting an error code because he somehow still cannot do the one thing this second chance is trying to help him do - to allow someone to truly love him and to receive it. i think about the scene with his ex who tells him “i don’t think you know how to love someone else” which feels different and harsher than “you don’t know to receive love”. the first feels more like an inherent flaw, like something in you is broken. and the second, being more an acknowledgement of internal trauma, that this is something you can learn and can accept, if you let yourself.

im really just rambling but i really love this show and i just never get tired of rewatching it tbh.
