TW mind control and brutality from authority
The previous asks with the one way glass made me think of this :
-
They spent hours questioning them, but no one seemed to belive them to be innocent. Apparently, "mind control via magic" doesn't seem to count as a good enough reason to be unable to control their own actions. And maybe they're right - people have died. Too many people to count, and the mere thought makes them sick to their stomach.
They never wanted any of this - they never meant to hurt someone, especially no one innocent. Being locked up in prison seems like the punishment they deserve, they think, but it doesn't change the fact that they cannot give the authorities any answers that woukd satisfy them. So they keep getting questioned again and again, and the methods grow more and more intense - physical harm and intimidation are only a small part of it.
"Don't touch me." is the only thing they say, again and again as if it was of any use. It's not like anyone would listen, and their skin is crawling under the touch of the cold, uncaring hands.
With all of their strength, They remain stoic, but when they are left alone, they break down in their chair. Hands cuffed and ankles bound to the chair, they slump over as their body is shaking with wrecking sobs. They are aware that they are probably being watched and mocked from the other side of the glass, but at least, they can pretend to be alone for a little while. They know better though.
At least, they manage to keep their face hidden from view. But they don't fool themselves - they know that the authorities are well aware that they are breaking them. And it's not like this would change any of the answers. Whumpee never wanted any of this, and they ARE innocent. Even though the blood is on their hands and that is all that counts to those in a position of power.
Good lord. That was like a little mini fic in my askbox. And a gorgeous one at that.
