The Bye Bye man may genuinely be the most incoherent film I've ever watched. Like it's genuinely hard to believe that this is a real movie made by real adults who looked at any of this and said "hmm yeah good idea"
So he kills everyone who thinks/says his name...but he gets his power from people thinking/saying his name? What?
Why does the girl who says "He makes you see things, like trains" ruin in front of a train?
Why did they bring an 8 year old to a college party?

My personal belief is that it was his depression reaching an apex, and the only comfort he could find is hearing her voice, so he just struggled and made small talk with her
