Hello~!

After a lot of talk and input from the community, @emmshipping and I ( @tarushipping ) decided to hold another selfshipping event since everyone enjoy the Spooky Contest one so much! During winter, there’s tons of holidays from all around the world, including Ramadan, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Winter Solstice, New Years, and of course Christmas! So we’d like to run a contest where anyone can enjoy the festivities with their favs!

Snowy Selfship Event 2017 is an event where you can create good selfship content of you and your fav(s) having fun during the holiday season. The content can be art, writing, aesthetic, playlists, or anything else you can possibly imagine! As long as it’s selfship or self insert related, it’s totally good! For the festivities, we have two main events going on:

Winter Prompts

For the entire month, we have a list of winter selfship related prompts that you can base your works on. Each week will have a choice of three prompts that you can pick from and use. But don’t let that limit you! Feel free to use two or all prompts, or even pick prompts from other weeks you’ve missed. We’ll be reblogging all works related to the event to this blog. Just be creative and have fun with it!

Winter Wishlist

In the spirit of giving, we decided to make a wishlist where selfshippers can sign up and describe what sort of gifts they would like to be gifted during the month! You can ask for a specific selfship of yours, if you only want certain types of gifts, or even if there’s a certain theme you’d like. Likewise, we encourage anyone that signs up to also gift others on the list! While we’ll happily be gifting people on the list, we would really love for everyone to participate in the gift giving. We encourage any and all kinds of gifts-whether it’s aesthetics, doodles, edits, poems, anything. For the top few people that gift the most, they’ll even receive a special prize!

The event will be running for the entire month of December, starting on December 1st and ending New Years Eve!

We’ll be routinely checking the SSSE17 tag and for any mentions. Any work related to the prompts and gifts will be reblogged here.

We’re accepting any works immediately.

If you’ve ever looked for an excuse to make some of that good selfship content of you and your F/O, this is the perfect reason. Whether it’s romantic, platonic, or even fankids, we absolutely LOVE seeing other’s selfships and selfinserts. And who knows, you might meet some new friends or even find a little extra gift this month!

Hello~! So @emmshipping and I (@tarushipping) were discussing about running a selfship themed contest, and with Halloween just around the corner, we thought this would be the perfect time to run one. We wanted to make this in the spirit of both Halloween and our love for selfships! So we, together with our boys, are hosting a contest. ============================ Spoopy SelfShip Contest 2017 is a contest where you can create good selfship content of you and your fav(s) with a spoopy theme. The content can be art, writing, aesthetic, or even a playlist! We have four different categories and winners will be chosen for each. You just have to pick one of the four prompts below and go nuts with it~ You can submit multiple submissions, have multiple favs involved, or even have your friends show up in them. If you’d like to help donate prizes, we’d love the help! And you’re free to still enter as a contestant The Deadline is October 28th at 11:59PM EST. Then we’ll judge all the entries and announce the winners on Halloween night~! We’re accepting submissions IMMEDIATELY! (Please read below for Submission Requirements) ============================  SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS  In order to submit your entry into the contest, please make sure to: 1). Reblog this post 2). It’s awesome! ============================  PROMPTS Please choose from one of these four prompts to base your submission on~ We wanted to provide a fun variety of prompts but still give everyone plenty of room to work with. 1). Halloween Night That time of the year came around again. The time when the trees outside turn into an assortment of deep reds, hearty browns, and soft yellows. When the stores stock up on aisles of candy and anatomically incorrect skeletons. When all up and down the street, houses are decorated in fake webs and carved pumpkins. As the children outside start making their trek for sweets, you and for F/O(s) are starting on plans of your own. It’s Halloween night after all, and it’s time to have some fun. What are you and your fav(s) doing on Halloween night~? Maybe some trick or treating? Scary movie party? Vandalizing? Just make something based around what you plan to do! 2). Monster Fav/Insert You and your fav(s) were given a bottle of mysterious purple liquid by a stranger on the streets during a cold, October night. Out of sheer curiosity, someone decided to drink the bottle whole. It didn’t seem to have any effect on them. That was, until later into the night… Your insert/One of your favs have drank a potion and have turned into a monster! What kind of monster are they? Are they friendly or are they more hostile? How do you/your fav(s) react to this?  Make something based on what the potion has done to you/your fav!  3). Haunted Mansion You and your fav(s) have been dared to explore an abandoned mansion that is claimed to be haunted on Halloween night. Feeling brave and daring, you and your fav(s) venture in. Once you step foot into the building, the large doors slam shut behind you, leaving you and your fav(s) in the darkness. You try to open the doors, but it seems like they’ve been locked shut. It looks like you and your fav(s) are stuck in an abandoned mansion for the night. What do you do? Do you go exploring? Do you experience anything strange or find paranormal entities? Make something based on your experience in the mansion! 4).Murder Hotel You and your F/O(s) managed to plan a getaway to a fancy bread and breakfast style hotel. As you entered, you were greeted by a pleasant gentleman in a fine tailored suit. As he showed you around the house, you discovered it was decorated in a number of quaint antiques. The staff themselves really played up the old Victorian theme in their butler and maid outfits. It was a pleasant night until a scream echoes down the hall. Both staff and guests alike are ushered into the lounge when the doors are locked. A maid announces that the gentleman from earlier has been found murdered. Murmurs and fear spread through the crowd, but her next lines are what chill everyone to the bone: “And no one can leave until we find the culprit.” You and your fav(s) find themselves trapped in a hotel in the middle of a murder mystery! Who seems most suspicious? Who can’t leave their room? How is the murder solved in the end? Feel free to make up whatever story you’d like! ============================  CATEGORIES Here’s the different categories of submissions we’re accepting! Please remember that all submissions must be PG13. Some blood or light suggestive themes are alright, but if you’re unsure if your idea/submission is too risqué, just refer to PG13 guidelines or ask us. ART –2 Winners —–Draw your selfship based on one of the prompts. The requirements are extremely loose-paint a masterpiece, draw a short comic, make an animatic, cut out paper dolls, or just doodle the two of you cuddling. –Will Be Judged By: —–Creativity - How cool and imaginative the submission is. —–Theme - How did the submission use the prompt chosen. —–Effort - How much effort and thought was put into the submission. —–Skill - A small portion in judgement will be technical skill-style, anatomy, colors, etc. WRITING –2 Winners —–Write about your selfship based on one of the prompts! Can range from making a short story, small drabbles, or even poetry. Please just try to keep in mind that as much as we’d love to read an entire novel of your ship, we simply don’t have time to read extremely long stories;; –Will Be Judged By: —–Story - How captivating and imaginative the story is.  —–Theme - How well the prompt chosen is incorporated in the submission.  —–Effort - How much thought and effort is put into the submission. —–Skill - How well the submission flows, words used, overall feel, grammar, etc.  AESTHETIC –1 Winner —–Make an aesthetic/mood board based on one of the prompts and your ship! There’s no requirements as far as number of images, quotes, style, or anything else. Just as long as it’s *aesthetic*. Please make sure to provide an explanation for why you chose certain images or even if you have a story behind them!  –Will Be Judged By: —–Theme - How well the prompt is used in the submission. —–Effort - The reasoning and thought behind every selection/filter/etc.  PLAYLIST –1 Winner —–Make a playlist of you and your F/O based on one of the prompts. Make it a 8tracks list, YouTube playlist, or Spotify playlist if you can so we can easily listen to it-but if you can’t, that’s alright too! There’s no requirements as far as what songs to use, but please avoid lists with half a million songs on them-it would take us forever to listen through it all;Also please provide any reasons behind the song you have chosen! Maybe there’s an ongoing story throughout each song? Or maybe you only chose 80’s rock songs cause your fav loves that music? Tell us everything!  –Will Be Judged By: —–Theme - How well the playlist matches the prompt chosen. —–Effort - The reasoning and thought behind each song selection/song order/etc. ============================  Prizes can be found HERE FAQ can be found HERE ============================ If you’ve ever looked for an excuse to make some of that good selfship content of you and your F/O, this is the perfect reason.
