I know it's statistically unlikely but imagine being like. the sole skydancer in a wildclaw/skydancer clutch. I know those damn dinosaurs spend every waking moment trying to do some indominus rex shit to each other as hatchlings. imagine 4 of those and 1 weird bird with magical empathy powers that likes dancing. I know the family therapy sessions get craaazy

Hey just wanted to say I really like your aberration names! I feel like they match so well without being too similar. (I especially adore Pluto and Charon by the way, plus their art with the orbit symbol is so good) Do you have any tips for finding names that pair well together? I feel like I always fall back on alliteration--which works, but there's definitely less variety that way!

Thank you! I've basically got three main sources of aberration names:

Famous duos: this is where "Orville and Wilbur" came from, they're named after the Wright brothers who built and flew the first airplane.

Pluto and Charon are also in that category, since, regarding the celestial objects, Charon is so big compared to Pluto and they are mutually tidally locked to each other and orbit a point outside Pluto instead of Pluto being the center - a lot of people have remarked on Pluto and its moon being a special pair

Things in the same category: Moon and Star, Pepper and Ginger - just words that go in the same category like celestial objects and spices, respectively. I looked for lists of names or words matching a theme and paired together the ones I liked and that fit the character limit

Irreversible Binomials: Forgive and Forget, Rhyme and Reason, Rhythm and Blues - these are all two word this and that phrases that can't be ordered the other way around. Wikipedia has a list of them that I peruse occasionally!

I've also considered names that relate to things that go together outside the expected, like I dunno maybe companion plants? (Corn and Squash?) Minerals often found together? (Quartz and Gold?) Animal mutualism? (Tarantula and Toad??) - kinda similar to just things from the same category but with a little more lore behind it I guess.

Another idea I've had but not used yet is taking a compound word like "paintbrush" and breaking it apart into their names like Paint and Brush - something like that.

A pearl catchers pearl would make an awesome accessory. Think about it, snapper with a pearl because they breed changed.

A pearl catcher with TWO pearls because they are extra.

A thief who took one and has it as their treasure.

A imp who’s lost love was a pearl catcher, so they now carry it in their memory.

One time awhile back I made a territory map of all the Beastclans locations based off of the canon maps from their encyclopedia pages-

and then we got the map update.

So to the BEST of my ability, here is a comprehensive map of all territories of the Beastclans. It was difficult to figure out where to place some of these- as some places on the old map… just literally don’t exist anymore, or were shifted FAR around, so this is the best I could do with my own logic and reasoning.

HEY YEAH I think about this a lot! I don't have many in my lair, but one of them is my random progen. He got resurrected through Shade tampering, so the only form he could take was a bogsneak since they are the only godless breed.

When you think about it bogsneaks are extremely fucked up. They’re the only dragon species not made by the deities and not only that they didn’t evolve either. One guy fell into the Goo and came out an entirely new species. And then the Goo started spitting out more. You can literally brew life. Imagine waking up to learn a new species of human was discovered in Chernobyl. And suddenly they’re everywhere. They’re made like snowmen from radioactive material and they just come to life. Your new friend Dave from accounting is an abomination that goes against nature but it’s ok he’s chill
