Lots of driving today. I got lunch with my two besties to catch up then drove many hours to winter guard rehearsal. There was an accident or something going on right around where rehearsal is, so I spent like 20 minutes trying to get around it and ended up a little late. That sucked. I definitely did not eat enough or drink enough water today because I started to feel sick driving back, oops. I'm just glad I'm home and about to crash for the night. Twas a rough day.

Today's accomplishments:

was kind to myself even though I was having a hard time! very important accomplishment

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! I had some good food and spent the day with family, and I'm very thankful we all get along. Also for all the birds in the world ^^. Not much else to say except I'm already feeling anxious about going back to school. My to do list is, uh, a lot, but I'm trying to ignore that for now.

Today was a nice day. I've decided I'm not going to worry about schoolwork over the break because, well, I need the break being given to me. Instead, I'm going to take time for my hobbies and family.

After sleeping in and making lunch, I worked on my current cross stitch project for 2-3 hours, and I almost finished another color! I really like watching YouTube videos while cross stitching. It's very relaxing.

I also finished Howl by Shaun David Hutchinson after starting it over a month ago, so I got to add that to my "recently" read pile. Recent as in since May. Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I also made my noodles and french silk pie that I make every year.

★Tuesday November 26, 2024★

I'm back home for Thanksgiving break, and I got to see my cat again!

I spent a bit of time today on one of my group presentations, got lunch with friends, and then packed to leave campus for break. When I got home, my mom and I did a mini work pact to get our respective duties done, or at least more done.

My parents and I also watched Dear Santa. Yes, it's a bit early for Christmas movies, but we were curious. I also think there's a bit more Christmas spirit this year than usual, but maybe that's just me. I have this theory that each year has one holiday that is more prominent. Some years, Halloween is all I can think about, and that is the highlight of all the holidays. Other years, Christmas takes over. I think this is a Christmas year. I'm excited already.

★Monday November 25, 2024★

Up until dinner I got very little done today, but afterwards I went to the library with my friend and we did a work pact. That worked out really well, and I ended up doing the amount of work I planned for today in less time than expected! I think I only worked for like 2 hours? Which is actually a very short time for all the writing I did. If only I could channel that energy all day. Perhaps tomorrow, but I am also going home tomorrow so that may mess things up. We'll see I suppose.

Today flew by. I didn't do very much, but that's to be expected after a day like yesterday. I'm not too upset about it, but that does mean I have to lock in the next few days.

★Saturday November 23, 2024★

Today was the last game day of the season (marching band). If you didn't know, game day takes up quite literally the whole day. It was cold and very tiring, as usual, but good despite that. As we were leaving I noticed how much I like the shape of the bleachers from underneath. The texture is very cool.

My friends and I went out to eat afterwards and they proceeded to have almost the exact same conversation as the fanfic I'm currently reading had, which isn't that common of a conversation either?? The bluetooth connected and I'm not sure how to feel about it. Very silly.

Look! Pretty shadows of rain on my car's dashboard!

Today was very busy in terms of life stuff not school stuff. It doesn't look like a lot but with classes and the amount of driving I had to do it took up all my time. I actually did absolutely no schoolwork, but ya know some days are like that. I am very sleepy and need to get up early tomorrow so I'll keep this short and sweet.

Today's accomplishments:

renewed my driver's license

went to the first winter guard rehearsal of the season (my first season in an independent guard!! very excited)

learned a whole lot of tricks in said rehearsal, my thumb will most certainly be bruised tomorrow

★Thursday November 21, 2024★

First snow today! It's about time considering how late in the year it is. It also highlighted the spiderweb on this light post which is very pretty. Warm lighting with snow always hits different.

Today was, a day. I found it very hard to focus, and I blame the overwhelming amount of work I have to do in the next three weeks. I didn't get much done this afternoon, but after dinner I found the energy and focus I've been looking for.

What better time to start romanticizing university than with nine class days left before finals!
