I shot this music video of City Rain for their song "Real Good." It was my first attempt at a music video. We had a great time doing it together. Edited by Ben Runyan.

I had a blast with City Rain during their WXPN Key Session. Here are some "out takes" that didn't make it into WXPN's post.

Jon and Claire are the exception to every misconceived notion of love I can imagine. I met Jon and Claire at Temple University. Still in school, I did a documentary project on love at different stages (present/ past), as experienced by young people living in Philadelphia. This is when I learned that they are an incredible couple and incredible individuals.
Throughout their wedding you could tell the passion they put into every detail of their lives. The entire day was put together with love by hand. Friends and family came to their aid and they had the most beautiful homespun wedding I have ever seen.
Still in college, Claire took a semester off in order to create the wedding her and Jon envisioned. The ceremony and reception were held on a private residence with a yellow barn. I remember how excited Claire was when she told me about the place and how nice the owners were for allowing them to use their home. All she ever dreamt in terms of her wedding was a yellow barn, she had told me.
Surrounded by their closest friends and family Jon and Claire were married outside on a beautiful day in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After the ceremony the three of us stole a moment away from the crowd and went to a bridge only ten minutes down the road. It was where they first decided to begin dating years earlier when they were in high school. The reception in the barn had delicate handmade touches. Claire had sewn all of the napkins from different colored fabrics to match the mismatched plates and silverware that she collected from friends and families kitchen cabinets. Antique appliances were used as tables and decor; an old tub became an ice chest, a stove became their cake holder, a singer sewing table held their guest sign in. Last but not least, their is nothing like a ton of people dancing on the plywood floors of an old barn. The floor swayed up and down with the ebb of people, having a great time in celebration for a young couple who are actually going to make it, defying current marriage statistics that seem to be stacked against them.
Jon and Claire are the two youngest people I have ever witnessed getting married and in many ways, more obviously in love than an outsider could comprehend. I am so thankful to have spent their wedding day with them.
