“You did give me food, and you are entertaining me, so I may let you pass.”

“... Entertaining? The trespass part is understandable, but entertaining?” He had half a mind to hit Glitch with a sword skill just to teach him a lesson. Grabbing his sword in his mouth,the blade began to glow a bright yellow.

“Easy there, Dust. Calm down, it was just a comment,” an Alolan Vulpix said, gently pushing the blade down onto the ground until her friend dropped it’s handle. Behind her was a Noibat that soon landed on her back.

Nightmare : Yeah. I’m a strong giant.

She looked at Nightmare, scratching the back of her head. “Well, okay, I guess? You look like a kid, though.”

Nightmare : I would been fine. I’m tough.

“Believe me, if you spent two years in Sword Art Online like me and my brother did, you’d quickly change your tune.” She shook her head. “There were enough children in that death game as it was, though, so I’m glad you didn’t.” Her left ear twitched as she gave a sigh.

“... Sorry, just.. painful memories.”

“I fucking hate Sugou, even beyond the context of the show. [He’s a rapist, he’s a pedophile, he’s a cheater far beyond any bullshit Kayaba ever pulled], and he tainted the names of two great voice actors: Takehito Koyasu in the sub, and Todd Haberkorn in the dub.”

*Nightmare opened the cabin door and walked in seeing Selena sitting on the couch with two other Darklings.*

Selena : There you are, Nightmare. I was wondering where you went.

Nightmare : Sowwy.

Selena : Who are your friends?

“I’m Emily Kotori, ALfheim Online expert player, and the dragon that’s currently sleeping in Nightmare’s arms is Anima, one of my closest friends.” The cat eared girl gave a bright smile. “Nice to meetcha!” She then looked back at Nightmare. “I found him outside, unattended. Thankfully, nothing bad happened to him in that time frame.”

“Hey, thanks, I need food.” Glitch quickly ate the food, with some difficulty of course. His paws had a hard time even holding the food. After eating it, he thought, who even was he talking to, he hadn’t taken the time to see them yet.

“Who are you anyway? What are you doing in this forest?” Glitch asked, wondering what kind of entity he had found this time.

“Oh, I’m GoldFox, the best swordsman you’ll see within a thousand meters.” He pulled out Sol, getting into his victory pose, before he quickly lost his balance, landing on the ground.

“... Just not when I’m in this body anyway...” He put his sword back into his bag. "Anyway, I'm pretty much waiting for my friends, Emily and Anima. We're traveling together, though they stayed behind to rest."

*Nightmare stood up, holding Anima in his arms as he walks toward the cabin.*

Emily followed behind him, smiling at Nightmare the entire time. Anime meanwhile rested his head against the Darkling’s chest, purring softly.

This is Emily’s updated design, plus it even has a bit of her custom sword’s sheath. I decided to make the ALfheim Online verse the main one, though I can’t update it just yet.

Gamemaster knows how much she spent on her entire appearance. XD

“Well then, lead the way, Nightmare,” she said, putting her hands behind her head. Anima just cuddled closer against the Darkling, letting out a soft purr. Thanks to his feathers, he was a lot softer than his scaled brethren.

The Eevee patrolled his area until he came a across a tree, that’s where he stopped and sat down for a break, not even noticing the other that was close by. “I wish I had some food… I wish I had gotten a different job to begin with!”

Dust’s ear twitched and he slid over a plate of stew he made using the materials from his world. “It may not be much, but I hope it’s something. Best eat it fast though, it’s been sitting for a while, so it’s about ready to vanish.“ The Eevee smiled at the other before he put his knapsack back on.

sao-blades-of-dust \\ Dustin wandered through the forest he found himself in, the gaming-obsessed Eevee holding a variety of items in the burlap sack he wore, including some of his items from the VRMMOs he played. How they came with him to this world was beyond his understanding, but he was sure they'd come in handy...

Glitch walked around the forest as well, going on patrol to make sure no other-world intruders were lurking around. “Of course it’s always me, every time. I’ll just hope that somebody comes around so I actually have something to do.” He kept his band on him so he didn’t go over the same place twice by accident.

“Well, want me to take you home, plus, I’m sure Anima would like to come over to your place to visit often. He’s really taken a liking to you.” Emily smiled, pointing at the half a foot tall dragon that was happily asleep against Nightmare.

“Heh, you’re pretty affectionate, you know that?” Emily smiled, continuing to pet the top of the Darkling’s head. “Do you live around here, Nightmare? If not, I’m sure your folks are worried about ya.”

You know, I thought about this a bit, and I realized. That’s why I love this anime so much now. It had the power to dig up emotions that I specifically tried to lock down and bury in the deepest, darkest corners of my mind..

If they can make me feel this attached to a fictional character in just a few short episodes, then the people that wrote the story definitely did something right!

Dammit, Sword Art Online is making me cry again…
