„Stocks this, ETF that, invest for pension plan this, learn about stocks or else“
This shouldn‘t be a thing! This MUST NOT be a thing!! I can’t hear it anymore! We should lead a „normal“ and affordable life with a pension at the end as a silver lining. Like our parents and grandparents did. We aren‘t supposed to live like this!

Sooo new head of fbi wants to release the epstein list. Head of fbi is pro trump and musk. Trump and musk were both involved with epstein somehow. If head of fbi is pro trump/musk then wouldn’t publishing the list be contradictory? Conclusion: Chances are very high that the epstein list they publish will be mostly fake, non? 🫠
#you can bet on that list will be enemies of trump and musk and some scapegoats#it‘s so disgusting that they use this case and counterfeit the list

Politics and/or companies causing: books getting banned, can‘t own or backup ebooks, can‘t own or backup audiobooks, movie and show bans, production stop on dvds and blurays, streaming services and their incomplete or deleted selection, can‘t own digital movies/shows/games, games having less and less physical copy releases, online archives law suits
libraries, irl archives, dvd/bluray online shops, collector forum, book shops, thrifting, reseller shops (and of course pirating):

Just imagine, neighbours meet on the rooftop terrace, weekly on a saturday, to set up the beamer, put some snacks on the table and watch, let‘s say, clueless or innerspace
With recent amazon kindle news going around and us seeing yet again that companies don’t want us to own media anymore, but instead to subscribe or buy over and over again, I feel like owning a big physical copy collection of i.e. movies and shows will be like the new admiration thing (for lack of a better word). Doesn‘t matter if bought or pirated.
Like back then when the kid with the rich parents came back from travels abroad, like japan, and got the coolest merch and stuff. Where you were just in awe of their secret collection and happy if you could lend some things, because you knew your country will never import them so you‘ll never own them yourself.
There are so many movies that went out of dvd/bluray production. You can not get them anymore except on sites for huge prices. Studios do that on purpose of course, because that is how they can increase subscription prices and also shorten/delete their selection w/o people having an option outside of that anymore. And I feel like this could potentially lead to „secret movie watching groups/clubs“ in kinds of touching grass to detox from that mess and just to have fun watching movies together. Because I can’t imagine that customers want to keep up with streaming platforms that much longer. They already started stream service hopping. So I feel like this could be a wholesome way to rebel against that.

USA people! Buy NOTHING Feb 28 2025. Not anything. 24 hours. No spending. Buy the day before or after but nothing. NOTHING. February 28 2025. Not gas. Not milk. Not something on a gaming app. Not a penny spent. (Only option in a crisis is local small mom and pop. Nothing. Else.) Promise me. Commit. 1 day. 1 day to scare the shit out of them that they don't get to follow the bullshit executive orders. They don't get to be cowards. If they do, it costs. It costs.
Then, if you can join me for Phase 2. March 7 2025 thtough March 14 2025? No Amazon. None. 1 week. No orders. Not a single item. Not one ebook. Nothing. 1 week. Just 1.
If you live outside the USA boycott US products on February 28 2025 and stand in solidarity with us and also join us for the week of no Amazon.
Are you with me?
Spread the word.

#yea I know pirating is a thing but not everyone is lucky to not get caught so I am trying a different perspective here#and I am not talking about pirating all on your lonesome but meeting up and watching movies in a group

Also another thing that is so sad to observe in Berlin is how bad the restaurant scene has gotten. Just like the clubs too, and other third places are currently drowning.
Prices went up again. Customers are of course furious, because wages don‘t increase and we can’t almost afford anything anymore. In the not so long ago past you could at least always go out to eat with friends or family. It is actual bonding time. And now, for example on a special occassion, we don’t go out once to a restaurant. Sure there‘s take out orders from the cheaper places from time to time, but it’s not the same and even that decreased alot.
#typical for commercial estate owners to ruin even that#in the past 2 years they tripled rent#so your restaurant can be full but you‘re still not making enough
