With thanks for the post and keeping the music alive!
Massive Attack and Portishead are probably the two biggest pioneers in the early British trip-hop movement, and it’s a fortunate coincidence that two of their most beloved songs also fit seamlessly together in this awesome mix. To be totally honest, this mix was actually the first time I heard either of these songs, and without any context I assumed it was just one song. That’s a testament to how well they work together, but also to the excellent mixing done by soundcloud user Jaya Prime.
Anyways, lisen to this, it’s incredible.

Massive Attack vs Portishead - Teardrop on Roads (Mashed by Jaya Prime) [Click to Download] [SoundCloud]
The voices of Liz Fraser and Beth Gibbons play medley in this mashup with two of trip-hop’s legendary icons — “Teardrop” by Massive Attack and “Roads” by Portishead. I started mixing these together in 2003 with my ”Blood of the Moon” DJ sets. Individually, I can not express what these songs mean to me, or all the faces and places they are connected to. Some faces have come. Some faces have gone… too many of them painfully. The songs remain. To remove these songs from my life would be to unravel the entire tapestry that I call “me”. After mixing them together for so many years, and loving them even to this day, I took it upon myself to mash them up together. If I have my way, we’ll one day have official studio releases of Massive Attack and Portishead’s “Risingson” and “Glory Box” mashup that they have performed live, as well as an official version of “Teardrop on Roads”. To all who have followed “Blood of the Moon” over the years, and to all who have been touched by the music, my gratitude to you. Stay tuned!

The Glitch Mob - Drive It Like You Stole It (Jaya Prime's Rechill) [Click to Download]
A song with the texture of a memory... a reflection. The rechill is a dark, brooding, and pulsating remix of "Drive It Like You Stole It" by The Glitch Mob. Within the deep rolling bass, something is born, moving, trying to rise above the waters. It stirs.
Dark falls the seasons on turning wheel.
Cold takes the shadows nearest window sills.
Take warmth’s token and make of it bed,
where Bone Frost’s fingers pass o’erhead.
~San Jaya Prime

Massive Attack vs Portishead - Teardrop on Roads (Mashed by Jaya Prime) [Click to Download]
This mashup has a history going back to 2003--back to my original breakthru set "Blood of the Moon". It's evolved quite a bit since that time, and was finally released as a mashup at the end of 2010, reaching up to #8 in the world on HypeMachine's Twitter Charts. I could write pages more. Instead, I'd rather say "Thank You" to all who've listened, to all who've been touched by it, to all who've helped spread it to others, and especially to Massive Attack and Portishead... who first brought these two songs into the world.

San Jaya Prime - The Last Memory of Fire (The Weyland Industries Mix) [Click to Download]
TED Talk by Peter Weyland (2023) [Edited]
Fire was a gift from the titan Prometheus, a gift that he stole from the gods! And Prometheus was caught and brought to justice for his theft. The gods... well, you might say they overreacted. The poor man was tied to a rock, as an eagle ripped thru his belly and ate his liver, over and over, day after day. All because he gave us fire, our first true piece of technology. Fire.
100,000 B.C.: Stone tools. 4,000 B.C.: The wheel. 9th century A.D.: Gunpowder. 19th century: Eureka! The light bulb! 20th century: The automobile, television, nuclear weapons, spacecraft, Internet. 21st century: Biotech, nanotech, fusion and fission, and M-theory. And THAT was just the first decade!
We are now three months into the Year of Our Lord 2023. At this moment in our civilization, we can create cybernetic individuals--who, in just a few short years, will be completely indistinguishable from us--which leads to an obvious conclusion: We are the gods now.
For those of you who know me, you will be aware by now that my ambition is unlimited. You know that I will settle for nothing short of greatness or I will die trying. For those of you who do not yet know me, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Peter Weyland, and if you'd indulge me, I'd like to change the world.

Moby - The Sky Is Broken (Jaya Prime's 3am Mod)
I made this edit/remix in 2003 for mixing in my "Blood of the Moon" DJ set, and I've added to it here and there over the years. With the extended intro, most people recognize the tones but can not place the song itself... not until the words. When that "ah, hah" moment hits, eyes and hearts light up at the same time... and it's magic. Enjoy!
see the storm is broken in the middle of the night nothing left here for me it's washed away the rain pushes the buildings aside the sky turns black the sky wash it far push it out to sea there's nothing left here for me i watch it lift up to the sky i watch it crush me and then i die speak to me baby in the middle of the night pull your mouth close to mine i can see the wind coming down like black night so speak to me like the winds outside it's broken up, pushing us hear the rain fall see the wind come to my eyes see the storm broken now nothing speak to me baby in the middle of the night speak to me hold your mouth to mine 'cause the sky is breaking it's deeper than love i know the way you feel like the rains outside speak to me

Clemens Ruh vs Shackleton vs Moderat - Rusty Nails (Mashed by Jaya Prime)
Is it a mashup when you take a cover of a song and mash it with a remix of the original? I'm going with a "yes" unless anyone can prove me otherwise. The incredible cover of "Rusty Nails" comes originally from Clemens Ruh. Mad shout out in thanks to LiLiYi for turning me on to the cover in the first place.

San Jaya Prime - Ghosts of Blood and Oil (Elektrobreaks Epilogue - Extended Cut)
This is almost twice as long as the cut that opened "The Shadows of Sunset" in 2011, and the progression here is far more patient. VIP members can download the extended cut, but for everyone else it falls under "listening only".

San Jaya Prime - Watch Me [Click to Download]
"When one becomes like a revengeful ghost and shows great determination, though his head is cut off, he should not die. [...] Our bodies are given life from the midst of nothingness. [...] Emptiness is form. [...] Form is emptiness. [...] One should not think that these are two separate things." ~Forest Whitaker, quoting the "Hagakure", from the movie "Ghost Dog" (1999)

Under the cloud of sixty-five days of static, no system can maintain itself. All crumbles. Cities. Mega-corps. Nations. Even language. It has happened before. It will happen again.

San Jaya Prime - All the Warmth in this Memory [Click to Download]
A three-way mash between Glitch Mob's remix of "All the Cash" by Evil Nine, "A Warm Place" by Nine Inch Nails and "Rewrite Your Memory" by Downliners Sekt. This is my 2nd attempt at a mash. I can hear the key-dissonance going into the second-half, but a lot of it actually turned out excellent!

San Jaya Prime - Feathers for the Daughter of the Wind
Dedicated to The Daughter of the Wind
No one can catch the wind.
The wind is quick to bring life, carrying blossoms from one land to another.
The wind is quick to take life, bringing storms that change the face of the world itself.
As Sir Francis Bacon once said: "We cannot command nature except by obeying her."
Sailors open their sails for Her. Though they can not see the wind, they know that it is the wind who billows their sales and carries them across the waters. Those sailors who do not follow the wind will find themselves lost. And those sailors who earn Her ill favor are certain to see no end to the depths of the ocean below them.
Dreamers open their wings for Her. Though they can not control the wind, they know that it is the wind who opens their feathers, and that it is the wind who can carry them to every horizon. Those birds who fly WITH the wind will fly far. But those birds who fly AGAINST the wind will be broken on the rocks below them.
Only the bravest of hearts will seek the storm and survive it.
You can hear Her dancing through the forest, the leaves and the branches shaking as She passes. You can feel Her caress on your skin, even when your eyes tell you that She is not there. So close your eyes... and open your heart.
