This Person is Hating on Sakamakihouse -> blitz-seragaki-lukari974

Hello DL fandom. You may have noticed that sakamakihouse, one of our translators, has recently closed their blog because their translations were used without their permission, possibly for profit. 

Now, their blog is once again closed off because this person, ‘blitz-seragaki-lukari974′, keeps being rude and offensive for no apparent reason to Blue. 

If anyone needs a refresher, this blog is the one who sent a very uncalled for ask to sakamakihouse:

^^^ When Blue responded, understandably upset due to the hate they were getting, this person overreacted like a spoiled child who didn’t get what they wanted and this is how they retaliated. 

They told Blue that if they can’t translate ‘correctly’ (aka how THEY want it), then Blue should stop translating DL.

They told Blue to CLOSE THEIR BLOG if they can’t accept what this rude person perceives as ‘criticism’.

When Blue posted a simple message about how they were feeling, NOT EVEN TAGGING IT, this rude person felt it was necessary to add their completely unhelpful and uncalled for input.

After the video channel that took Blue’s translations removed their videos, Blue kindly put up their blog again, because they understood that many people rely on their blog daily for translations.

Blue added a note to let us know that they were taking a break, understandably, and yet again, ‘blitz-seragaki-lukari974′ reblogged and felt like adding in their unneeded input: 

It’s pretty indicative that this person is at least one of the individuals in this fandom who is hating on translators and likely sending anon hate to them. With that said, I’ll let this fandom decide whether they want to block this person or not, seeing how they treat sakamakihouse. 

Please spread this as far as you can. 

And please support sakamakihouse and all our translators!

In the corners of Shizume City, where futuristic buildings with huge screens on the walls lined up, it happened often that you’d see a scenery that looked like time had stopped there many years ago. The vending machines that lingered in the dark gaps between buildings and that sold bottles of soft drinks were one of those views. Retro-style bottles of cola and carbonated orange juice lined up behind the dirty glass. For Yata who hadn’t been alive ‘many years ago’ yet this was a new sight, rather than it being nostalgic.

(Random AU Note: About halfway to Recovery Girl’s, Toshinori had to carry Izuku on his back and continue the journey because Izuku tired out quickly. When they got there, they both looked half-dead and Recovery Girl couldn’t help but note that they had the same appearance. She added, “and that’s not a good thing” when she sensed Toshinori’s Happy Dad aura. She didn’t exactly appreciate the fact that they were both half-dead in her office, but she sat them down in chairs and threw a blanket over them anyway.)

So I’m really upset right now.

A guy by the name of The Brightest Melancholy 

(Skype name: shub.yoggoth)

Commissioned me on sunday and above are the screenshots of our conversation. I have never had anyone be this refund happy. In fact I haven’t had to issue any refund for any of my commissions. But I guess this is a first.

Despite approving the sketch about the numerous slight fixes to the commission he wanted a refund. He didn’t even think to ask if I could touch up or fix anything afterward. Went straight to wanting a refund.

Now, i immediately thought this guy was trying to scam me. I have no problems fixing things for a commissioner and i’m sure those who have commissioned me before will vouch for me on that.

I offer to fix what he wants and he tells me that he already sent what he wanted fixed.However he deleted it before I could see it. I thought that was pretty phishy and made it clear to him that whatever he sent, he deleted moments afterward, as I was busy actually working on his commission and could see it in time.

He resends it and I fix his edit to my sketch as precisely as humanly possible. He still wants a refund. Right here is when I called scam to myself. I knew he was trying to get the art and get the money back. The screenshots pretty much prove it.

He immediately requested a refund without hesitation.

He deleted his fix before I could see it. 

Despite these things being the only things left to fix he still makes an excuse to get the refund, despite not mentioning anything more to me during the process and saying he did.

He refuses to have me fix anything else. Possibly because he has the completed art and just doesn’t want to pay.

He THREATENS my livelyhood as an artist if I don’t refund, reporting that I refuse to refund is one thing, but reporting that it’s for adult material is scummy and really could ruin me.

Now, before you ask, I have refunded him at this point.

I’d love to say to not let people like this bully you into free art like this but there is not a single thing I can do about it.

If anyone like this wants to pay an invoice for your art, approve of everything until the very end and not let you fix it, then threaten to ruin your livelyhood as an artist. The truth is, they can and i’d rather not risk some scumbag ruining my life right now.

As for the scammer, please do not add him on skype to harass him or anything. I don’t want that. I just want any other artists to beware of this person. Stuff like this could happen to anyone who does commissions and it’s really, really unfortunate.

Sarumi Fest - Prize Info

As promised, here are the prizes and the draw details for this year’s Sarumi Fest. There are some minor changes from last year, so please have a look, and feel free to contact us with any questions.

How It Works

This blog will periodically reblog all entries to the fest throughout the course of the event (please see the rules post regarding how to post an entry)

After the fest is over (end of day July 14, 2016), we will number each entry and do a random number draw for the first winner

Once that winner is chosen, we will contact them. If they respond within 48 hours, they have the opportunity to choose either three physical prizes or two digital prizes or two physical prizes and one digital prize

After the first winner has chosen their prizes, we will update the prize list and draw the next winner

If a chosen winner does not respond within 48 hours, they forfeit the prize and we will draw again

This process will repeat until we have ten confirmed winners (note: number may increase depending on prizes remaining)

Regardless of the number of entries a person has made, you can only win once (ie, submitting multiple entries will only increase your chances of winning, not allow you to win more than once)
