What happens after

He remembers the way Raichi would trip over his own feet in his eagerness to catch a ball, the way he would laugh it off with a sheepish grin. How his face would light up when Sanada handed him a snack after a particularly grueling practice.

Each memory pulls at something within Sanada, a dull ache that seems to resonate with the silence of his new life.

There's a certain comfort in the mundane, in the everyday things that make up a life. The shared lunches, the moments of quiet in the middle of a bustling day, the exchanged glances on the field. so I really love team dinner parties like imagine Yakushi

the whole time Raichi is just intensely vibrating like he can’t stop moving but he can’t say anything either he’s just so fuckin excited for food

1. eijun is an idiot

2. raichi can only explain batting by making wind sound effects 

r: you’re doing it wrong! you’re supposed to go “woosh!” not “swissh!!!” its supposed to go “woosh!” e: how the hell am i supposed to diffrentiate between a “woooosh!” and a “swish!”

3. eijun is a complete clutz in batting

r: that’s the third time you hit me!!! you’re doing this on purpose aren’t you?! its because i ate your bnanana that one time huh?! e: i swear that was an accident!!! i’m not doing it on purpose i swear!!!!

4. raichi gets carried away whenever he’s near a bat

e: you’re supposed to be teaching me how to bat not pracitcing your own swings!!!!

5. they are both idiots

you know what i want? an entire series following yakushi. like just following raichi around and seeing him awkward and quiet and bad at interactions and then him on the field with sanada. raichi laughing like he does because he doesn’t know how to express good feelings or anxiety as anything else. raichi blushing whenever anyone asks him anything off the field or gives him full attention.
