I decided to sneak out of my room for a little bit. I couldn鈥檛 stand the white walls that dragged on forever. Plus a little air won鈥檛 kill me, I think. If it helps any, I plan to stay on the path to the gazebo, then turn around and head back to my room. I could use the exercise anyway. The garden actually looked nice for something that was stationed, both in London and in a hospital. Makes me think that everything in the garden is artificial or fake. Even if it was, it still looked real and maybe that鈥檚 all that matters.聽
Until next time,
Riley

Heading Home.
Unfortunately, every trip must end but I made some amazing memories along the way. Not only that, but I made some cool friends as well. It was a very life-changing experience for me and I know you didn't mean to shelter me so much. Only because I wish I could've seen these sights sooner. I also figured out some new things about myself. I always thought I was going to be that straight southern girl with the family. Even when the thought made me uncomfortable, that's all I knew. Throughout this entire trip, I found out that those weren't my only options. As well as being able to listen to so many new genres of music. I hope it's okay I turned out this way. I hope you still love me when I make it home because I don't think I can change.
Yours Truly,
Sammy.

The Crescent City!
I finally made it back to the south! Going through Texas was unbelievable, I even got to go horseback riding! Some new friends had even taken me to some local comedy clubs near Houston. However, I'd have to say the drive through Arizona was something else. The view there was so beautiful I couldn't believe my eyes, even if it was super hot; standing at a solid 113 degrees. New Orleans, was probably the most interesting, especially hearing so many ghost stories on my way there. Thanks to the Ghost Story podcast you suggested. It was really unique to see how "retro" everything, kind of, looked. You can see that in the picture I took walking down the street. The people there were so kind and really helped me when I got lost. I think you would've loved New Orleans.
Yours Truly,
Sammy.

Pride Parade!
When I visited California, I got to experience the Pride parade firsthand. It was wonderful to see everyone openly expressing themselves. It felt so welcoming. So I joined in the parade with a group of others. I know it's considered a sin to sleep with the same sex, but to be honest I don't see it that way. If I learned anything from this entire trip is that the religion I had followed all my life, might not be for me. I don't know what I am, but I hope to find out because I don't entirely plan to have a partner in the future. I don't even plan to have kids but that's probably just me thinking ahead of myself. I'm still eighteen after all. However, whatever I am I hope you support me through it because I don't know what I'd do without you.
Yours Truly,
Sammy.

The City of Angels!
It was a super long trip, but I finally made it to California. I did stop in Seattle and it reminded me of the summer month in Florida. However, I can't stop now because I'm homesick, right? So I continued my road trip and, my god, was it worth it. Making it to California was so very worth it. I got to see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and even the Santa Monica Pier. Unsurprisingly, my favorite place to see was the pier. The fair was so fun to check out and I honestly couldn't believe my eyes. I even got to walk around with a group of locals. This whole trip has been so eye-opening to me. I'm happy I went through with it.
Yours Truly,
Sammy.
P.S.
A Lot of the people I met tended to call me Sammy and I actually really like the nickname. So I'll probably address myself that way from now on. Love you, mom and dad.

The Big Apple!
I can't believe I already drove through half the East Coast! The drive was amazing with a lot of picture-worthy views. Seeing Boston was a whole different experience, I especially didn't expect it to be so cold compared to Florida. It was totally worth it though. I even met some nice people along the way and got to experience more "local" events and sights. Making it to New York was definitely the best part of the East Coast. There I got to experience my very first concert with some of the locals and it was a blast! Here I figured out I love concerts, the atmosphere was everything. Even when the city was bustling and packed, it was still fun. I'll even send a picture I took of Times Square. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I took it. I miss you guys so much and can't wait to see your faces when see how much I've changed.
Yours Truly,
Samantha.

Summer Adventures!
As a way to make the most memorable summer ever, I planned an amazing road trip! I'm happy you gave me permission to go and now I'm all packed and ready for this awesome adventure! I'm starting in Florida, obviously, and plan to make my way around all of the United States. I even made a playlist just for this trip and can't wait to blast it while driving down the highway. I'm going to write everything down just for you to read when I get home! While I travel, I promise to be safe and extra careful. I'll even take some cool photos of all the sights I plan to see.
Yours Truly,
Samantha
