         it’s truly a mystery as to how samara got roped into playing spin the bottle. watching from a distance with a cooler in hand was more of her style, but this time she was participating and it was her turn. leaning forward, she spins the empty beer bottle and sits back, watching it go. it feels like it takes a lifetime before it finally slows and points toward the boy sitting next to her. looking toward robbie, her lips upturn as a relieved laugh lets out, thankful it’s not a stranger. ‘ sorry, ’ she says, shifting her body toward him more, adjusting her skirt as she moved. she lightly touches his cheek before pressing her lips to his. it’s not a peck, but it doesn’t last very long either. she almost laughs again as she pulls back, some lip gloss now noticeably on him. ‘ your turn. ’
