For Branch's backstory I was considering perhaps a mishap happened to his grandma involving pokemon--causing him to fear them but your idea of it being the villain group behind Rosiepuffs death is a lot better or more well thought out!!

Branch as a ranger makes SO MUCH sense. I honestly forgot that was an occupation in the universe and was going to make him more of researcher/inventor. (because boy does he love building things)

EEVEES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY IS SO BIG BRAIN. Maybe they could of been gifts from their grandma! I think that could be cute...

I 100% was going to put eevee/umbreon on Branches team because it just Fits (and also I wanted him to match with Poppy) I was gunna choose a shiny eevee/umbreon for him since it's first grey then turns black/blue heehee

All the pokemon you pick for his team are really good!! I especially like Nidorino and possibly Poochyena for him...might use them for when I make his team!!

I was also considering him having a Turtwig/Torterra because of his pet from Trollstopia (and they're based on animals that hide away in their shells to protect themselves....like Branch does with his bunker...) Unsure if he just gets one himself or just starts taking care his grandmas partner pokemon after her death...

Also would it be okay to possibly use some of your ideas for the au I'm cooking up?? I'd give credit of course!!

I'm thinking her dad is the head of the town she lives in as well as the gym leader of it. She looooves pokemon so much and has lived a pretty carefree life up until Peppy wants her to take over the gym and leadership of the village. She ends up going on a journey to get stronger/see the world before she fully replaces her dads positions.

Skitty

Probably a pokemon that was caught by Viva and later given to Poppy before Viva left on her own journey to become champion. I can see Poppy babying it a lot, causing it to not evolve for awhile because how lax life is in the village. Also picking this because of Perky (Poppys pet from Trollstopia) and because she also really loved the Swampkins in TBGO.

Audino

It's a kind pokemon that can understand what other people/pokemon are feeling so I think it'd be a good match for Poppy whos pretty kind-hearted and empathetic.

Sylveon

Catches it as an Eevee and it later evolves due to the friendship that formers between it and Poppy!

Tinkatink

Poppy catches it immediately due to it being a small, cute, pink thing. Also that's a BABY!!! Picking this one for Poppy because of how similar it looks to her trollself as well as how daring Tinkaton is even if it's adorable and short.

Jigglypuff

Both Poppy and Jigglypuff are cute pink thangs that like to sing. I also feel like Poppy could be one of the few that can handle it's lullabies (maybe by putting gumdrops in her ears) and would do duets with it for fun.

Chansey

Both are willing to help others in need--it's a good fit for Poppy!
