I think we need to talk about the under appreciated Window Seat fandom

I mean really? With the book shelves?

It’s like an alcove of happiness.

You want a whole row of individual seats? Fine, here you go. 

Or how about a whole window bed for those snugglers out there.

Curtains.. Guys this one has curtains.

Seriously? This is basically a glass cube of bliss.

 You can even get them with corners! Not enough corners? Okay.

Ba-BAM!! Corners for cocooning. 

There’s also the Roman-esque themed seat for the historians out there. 

 If you don’t want to snuggle up in blankets with hot cocoa in this then I don’t even know why you’re on this planet. I mean dat stonework. 

This one’s an entire rectangle. Just imagine all the cuddling that could happen in there. It’s practically a fortress.

This one’s fucking curved okay? it’s just chillin, up of the ground, and curved for your lounging convenience.

Asra: He’s constantly enamored by so many things, adorably enthused by the universe. He cares for MC in a way that is incomparable, and are always looking to share something vibrant and different with the world.

Nadia: There is nobody who feels emotions in such a deeply poignant way than her. The fragility of her heart deserves to be admired and embraced, as well as her faith, her protectiveness, and her spontaneity.

Julian: He is deeply-feeling and naturally compassionate. He’s pretty much always striving for living a life full of imagination and kindness, doing so through embracing selflessness and thinking outside the box.

Muriel: His attention to detail, their knack for solving mysteries, and their practical heart. He has a soul which is so wonderful to seek help from, as he is reliable and always striving to help analyze situations from the very best of angles.

Portia: Truly the humanitarian, she really does want nothing more than to make the world a better place to be. She is friendly, loyal, and endlessly creative, seeing the artistic potential in the things which others may only view as mundane.

Lucio: At his best, when he treats one well, he can be humorous and will shower one with the grandest of gifts or do pretty much anything for them, and thus can bring laughter and light in one’s life.

I’m doing a thing with the thedas map (which is in its preliminary stages so I’m not ready to talk about) but it means I’d been scrutinizing the image. Which led to me finding this huge pile of lakes in Orlais we never get to visit.

I know it’s called the marshes, but in my mind it’s like Minnesota where there are just lakes everywhere. Which then led to me picturing the Inquisitor trying to talk all of the companions on a fishing trip.

Cullen and Blackwall are in their element, despite having only a handful of fish in their basket. Bull’s stripped to the waist and is grabbing fish out of the water by hand. Josephine and Vivienne refuse to touch anything and stand on a slab of wood to protect their shoes.

Somehow Leliana has a massive pile of fish even though no one sees her with a pole in the water. Cassandra’s reading, barely paying attention to her line while Varric keeps looking over her shoulder and pointing out the plotholes in her book. Dorian insists he has no interest whatsoever in getting near the slimy beasts, but when no one’s looking he tries to drag a net through a few times to impress the Inquisitor.

Solas absconds himself of the whole endeavor and is instead speaking with a spirit of the lake who’s tired of people hurling swords into it. Cole can’t stop talking to the bait, who apparently insist that playing pinochle inside of dead men’s skulls isn’t that interesting.

No one’s seen Sera in an hour and they’re all starting to get really nervous as a lot of hooks are missing.

CONFESSION:

While I think constructive criticism can be valuable, I think fans need to remember they do not own the game. Forcing creators to pander to every demand will result in the loss of the fundamental point of art. And games are art. Its disheartening to see how so many people expect their fanon to become canon. I don’t want the writers to give me everything I want. I want them to give me something that I didn’t realize I always wanted. I wish there were more in the fandom who feel as I do.
