A very young (movie) Sakharine, maybe before he got the bird. I picture him always being affluent, even in his youth. Like, his family is all about getting ahead and stealing/plundering their wealth. And if not they at least try to maintain the image of being wealthy. 

This pic is in much better condition than Haddock’s. Maybe it is found in a family scrape book, or an a picture frame where it wouldn’t be handled and damaged. For young Sakharine I figured he had a slim figure and sharp features. (unlike Haddock who I drew with more round and softer face.) I settled on this for now. (My friend requested that I make him “hot“, well I have no idea if I accomplished that at all, but I hope at least she is satisfied with it. I mean look at the source material…)

"I'm nobody, who are you?"

“Nobody?” this reminded him of the Greek myth, where Odysseus gave the name “nobody” to trick the Cyclops. “Well, Nobody, I am Ivan Sakharine.”

This wasn’t something he was expecting at all. Sakharine awkwardly held the door open, stunned silent. He was rarely in a state of not knowing what to do with himself. But here was Tintin, of all people, and he had no idea what to do or say. Maybe runaway and pretend he wasn’t there? But, he was shackled. Not literally, but he was on parole, but under house arrest. His every move was monitored.

And why was he here? Unraveling another mystery, no doubt, but what had Sakharine to do with that? or was he simply checking up on him?

What to do...?

He finally straighten up, cleared his throat and said “Well, what are you doing here, Tintin? Paying an old friend a visit? Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I am not allowed unexpected visitors.”
