Emilio Villalba’s “NO ONE” at Booth Gallery.
Currently on view at Booth Gallery in New York City is artist Emilio Villalba’s astounding solo exhibition of new paintings, “NO ONE.”
“NO ONE” is comprised of Villalba’s newest series of compositions containing communities of eyes. In creating this body of work, the artist has focused on a single individual at a time to create an organic un-predetermined design. This route was inspired by the colorful and rich diversity of people that make up his neighborhood in San Francisco. As a portrait painter, Villalba transforms the idea of taking many individuals to create one entity. Each painting becomes its own creature and takes on unique life. The expressions of each muse fueled the direction of the work in its developmental stage, as well as guided the titles of the pieces.
“NO ONE” will be on view until April 21st, 2018 and should not be missed!

Rowan Mersh is a textile based sculptor who explores form and fuses concept with technique, emphasizing experimentation as the focus of his practice. A celebrated graduate of the Royal College of Art, Mersh has developed a unique aesthetic, which is at once obvious upon encounter of his various sculptural forms, whether it be textiles, sculpture or any other experimental agenda in which he embarks.

Interloop
Artist Chris Fox has repurposed two pairs of timber escalators that were first installed at Sydney’s Wynyard Station in 1931. The pair have carried passengers for over 80 years and slowly became an iconic symbol of the city’s identity. The repurposed escalators are now Interloop, a twisting, accordion-like ribbon that is now suspended from the station ceiling, stitching together 244 wooden escalator treads in an otherworldly design.
