I've been in a lot of fandoms, but started connecting to people in the Sherlock fandom, but it was in SPN/destiel that I actually started to create fanworks. Part of me feels a little guilty that I didn't start in BBC sherlock. But you know, sometimes things just have to align in a way that's good for you. I'm not watching Severance, but I'm seeing the gifs and the fanworks and appreciating what people are doing. I hope you love whatever new art you're doing! That's the important thing.

This is such a lovely ask! Yeah, it took a while for me to start creating too. It's so interesting we both started w SPN, I wonder what it is. The characters are so compelling but also the world is somehow very concrete and very vague which I think it's like a catnip for people loving headcanons hehe. But also SPN fandom was so big and so welcoming & I saw artists of all levels of skills creating their little works and that was very encouraging to me! So yeah, things did get aligned for me then :)

Every time I move on to a new obsession it feels a bit like growing up, so it's exciting but also a bit sad. And it takes a bit until you fit into this new thing and figure out what bits of it are appealing to you and bringing you joy. So maybe I was a bit frustrated because things I made didn't really feel like distinctly like me but I am just as excited to see how things will feel tomorrow and the day after that. I think eventually everything will feel right, in life that is :)
