playing a rhythm game is like don't think don't think let your fingers do their thing dont think dONT THINK EMPTY YOUR BRAIN RIGH- AAAAAAAAA THE COMBO!!!!!!
#this is also how playing basically any rhythm instrument works#or generally multitasking in music#like playing an instrument and singing#you gotta practice and eventually you’re able to just. do it. unless you start thinking about what you’re doing

"Is it safe to go to [urban neighborhood] at night?" Well, that depends. If you are driving there, then your odds of getting hurt are much higher than you expect. If you take public transportation and then walk around, then your odds of getting hurt are much lower than you expect.

What do you consider the pillars of your diet? Like not what you consider the most delicious, or even necessarily your “favorite” food, but the food that if you look within your heart and are honest with yourself actually eat more often than anything else? I think mine is toast, broccoli, and eggs
#vegetarian chili#smashburgers#shakshuka#omelettes#string cheese#this has all changed some since I became diabetic a couple months back

The J-11 fighter jet enacts what is known as an “unsafe intercept” on my historically-accurate open-cockpit triplane and is therefore unable to avoid the bag of marbles I whip into its jet engine intake. “Unsafe for who?” I chuckle to myself before being immolated by a surface-to-air missile that costs the military much more than the pricetag on my machine made of canvas and sticks, but significantly less than the engine damage caused by my marbles. This is what the boy scouts phrase as “playing for keeps.”

“In 1404, King Taejong fell from his horse during a hunting expedition. Embarrassed, looking to his left and right, he commanded, “Do not let the historian find out about this.” To his disappointment, the historian accompanying the hunting party included these words in the annals, in addition to a description of the king’s fall.“

its kinda scary how your whole life depends on how well you do as a teenager
#one of my friends dropped out of high school because of depression + coke addiction#he went to community college for a while#almost took over my town’s democratic party when he was like 20#transferred to the college where I met him#graduated from a real good school at like 25-26#admittedly his parents’ money helped but like there isn’t always a set timeline for life#another really good friend had to drop out of college because she didn’t have money to eat#after a couple years of getting back on her feet + dealing with financial aid she’s back in school and doing so well

The next time they tell you Americans are “happy” with their employer provided health insurance remember that that “happiness” is fueled by willful ignorance of what the alternatives are really like and fear of losing what little crappy health care they currently have.
#can confirm I’ve dealt with the nhs in scotland and for everything but trans healthcare i’d take that over the US any day#I have good insurance and it’s still a huge pain in the ass to do basically anything here
