Funnily enough I had no ideA @symbruary was a thing till Tumblr told me. So here's my oc. She's a hybrid oc combining movie-verse venom rules(symbiote's having a fully developed personality and actual voice) and sailor Moon. Her human name is Sophie, her symbiote's name is Glaive, which I've got an older drawing of her in pen here:
Together they are Sailor Klyntar, Sophie found the transformation wand in a one day circus crane game, and met Glaive later after rescuing a stray animal the vet she works for thought was going to die. The transformation pen is an actual pen. She uses it to write in a notebook she keeps being a writer. She writes to talk to Glaive, as she isn't great with an internal voice, and didn't want to talk to herself like movie Eddie does. Her weapon is kind of a whip.
I actually came up with this idea last april/may, but I hadn't developed an art style at that time yet.

Introductions
Sophie Dione thought her life was pretty normal. Borderline boring even. She was just starting at the local college, taking English as her major. She loved to write and wanted to do more with her skills than the short stories she posted online. In between classes she also had her part time job at the animal hospital. She loved animals and loved helping the vets in anyway possible, even if its just clearing away animal waste. Seeing the animals every day was always enough to brighten even the worst of her days.
As she got ready for the day, part of her daily routine was to listen to the weather so she could plan her wardrobe accordingly. Today was a little cooler than normal so she put on a turquoise long sleeve shirt and a comfy pair of jeans. As she brushed thru her hair, something on the report caught her attention. Something about a meteor shower that happened the night before. It seemed to have baffled the astronomers as they hadn't even seen this coming.
Sophie shrugged. She didn't so much care about that, but she was a little disappointed. she wish she had known about the shower; she loved all things space related. Shaking her head, she finished combing thru her long, wavy, dark blond hair. She tied it in two pony tails. She grabbed her favorite leather jacket, a gift from her best friend, and backpack, ready to head off to class.
Later in the day, considering class had ended early, Sophie found herself at the fairgrounds. She didn't know that they were in town. While she wasn't one for high octane rides, she loved the arcade games. She especially loved the crane games. She always seemed to have a knack for winning those. She walked around checking the games out trying to find one that would be fun to try. One game seemed to be especially popular, a crane game. She smiled as she approached it.
From the looks of it, a majority of the prizes in the game were those $10 Bluetooth speakers and costume jewelry. There was one prize in particular that caught her attention. From her vantage point it looked like a pen that had an orb on the top that had a mini galaxy in it. It almost seemed to call to her. She decided she was going to go after that on her turn. The line wasn't too long, and everyone else seemed primarily after the cheap speakers. She kept her eyes on that dark purple pen as her turn came up.
As she walked up to the controls she pulled her money out of her pocket. she had $3. Enough for three attempts. In her first attempt she aimed for the orb part of the pen, which didn't go over well. The moment the tips of the claw hit the pen's orb the tips snapped shut to no avail. In her second attempt the claw closed around the pen lifting it up only to slip out due to the orb's weight. She frowned. She had one last try. She re-aimed the claw in one final attempt and held her breath as the claw clasped around the pen. She watched as it raised up and saw the pen slip again, only this time it was in her favor. The small globe on the pen wedged itself snugly into the claw tines perfectly as it moved to the depository. As she removed the pen from the slot she walked off grinning. She thanked all those who congratulated her as she passed.
She still had an hour to kill before her shift at the hospital, and at least thirty minutes till the bus came; so she decided to give her new pen a test. The pen was fairly sturdy, made of a kind of metal in a solid design. There was a chain connected to the clip with what looked like the letter 'K', only at the bottom right point there was an extra line. The orb itself was a dark glass with flecks of purple and gold, almost like a miniature galaxy in a ball the size of a jaw-breaker. It was definitely worth more than the $3 she spent on it in the game. Lastly she had to give the actual pen part a try, so she twisted the pen to get the tip to come out. Turning to a blank page in her notebook she wrote her name. All in all it felt like it was meant for her. The ink ran smoother than any pen she ever wrote with, no skips and no bleeding ink. She smiled. She was happy with her new pen and hoped the ink never ran out. Putting the new pen in her bag with her notebook, she got on the bus to head to work.
