Hello,        My good friend is creating a short film for her senior thesis based on her life growing up as a person of color more specifically as a Latina woman. Hyphen was written to be directed, produced, and acted from the unique US Latina experience. The majority of the talented cast and crew are people of color and female. With 4.9% of films starring Latina protagonists, and only 1% directed by Latinas, her film aims to break down large barriers.  However to get this film made she will need donations. She hopes to raise at least 10,000 in US dollars for this project. i had a conversation with a 15 year old the other day and i realized that the new generation only knows Dwayne The Rock Johnson from disney movies and not from his professional wrestling career as Dwayne The Rock Johnson. They can’t smell what The Rock is cookin. They never have.
