Lilies and Coffee 〔 SasuSaku 〕

Uchiha Sasuke, 23 years old and in his last year of College. He and His childhood best friend Uzumaki Naruto had decided since senior year of College they would join the same college together. Sasuke introduced Naruto to his now Girlfriend of 4 years at a party when they went to a party during the first year of college.

Sasuke was always the confident guy in the ‘friend group’. Naruto would always say “He’s just a big softie under all the confidents” which made Naruto run for his life. Sasuke, Naruto, His girlfriend Hinata Hyuga, and Hinata’s Best friend Sakura Haruno had all decided to go on a ‘double date’ in Naruto’s words. Sasuke and Sakura were in fact not dating each other but for their best friends they went along with it.

When the couple and their best friend made it to a restaurant. Waiting to be seated, Sakura had taken it upon herself to speak with the one and only Sasuke. Sasuke during the conversation seemed uninterested but in fact he was listening intensively. Sakura after 10 minutes of rambling stopped as she thought Sasuke wanted her to shut up.

Sasuke, not wanting to sit in silence, looked at Sakura asking her to continue her story about what she and her mom did over the break. Sasuke noticed how stuttery she got when she continued her story. It.. made him feel something and it was odd. He felt like this a lot, especially only around Sakura.

When it was time for them to be seated, the four of them got up following the waiter. Unknown to Sasuke, he would be sitting next to Sakura. He let Sakura take the inside seat of the booth they were seated at. Sasuke noticed the whispers between the two and wondered what they were talking about.

The four had a very fun night. Sasuke had to drag Naruto back to their dorm, The blonde haired male had too much to drink meaning he was drunk and it was now Sasuke’s issue to deal with. “You’re an idiot for drinking too much.” he sighed.

Naruto mumbled something Sasuke didn’t quite understand. Throwing the shorter male onto his bed, Sasuke threw a blanket over him. Leaving the dorm once again to make sure the girls had got home safely. While walking out of the male dormitory, Sasuke was in thought and one particular made him stop in his tracks. “I like Sakura.” He was in shock at the realization of what he was feeling all those times he was with Sakura the past few months. He stood there frozen in place. It didn't take long before the security guard tapped his shoulder and asked if he was alright which he said he was and continued to the girls dormitory.

He had made it and just before he would walk in Sakura had walked out. “Hey, Sakura” he greeted, which made the other look at him in shock. 

“Hey Sasuke..” Sakura shyly greeted

“Did you get Hinata inside fine?” He asked, putting his hands in his pockets.

“Yea! She was pretty easy to get inside..” she replied with a soft smile

“That's good.. Where, uh Where are you headed now? Especially this late” he somewhat worriedly asked

“I was actually on my way to see if you got Naruto in without a hassle” She giggled

“Oh what a coincidence” He smiled

The two stood there talking for a bit before finding a bench sitting down and still talking with each other. It wasn’t until around 2am when Sasuke noticed Sakura getting tired so he suggested she should head inside to get rest. 

She nodded with a yawn standing up and unknowingly kissed the side of Sasuke’s face, it made his ears turn red. He watched her wave and went inside the dorms and when he didn’t see her anymore he made his way back to his dorm and walking inside his room he saw and heard Naruto snoring loudly. He sighed, kicking his shoes off and laying in bed closing his eyes and passing out for the night.

The next morning Sasuke woke up to his roommate groaning. He lifted himself onto his elbows tiredly looking in Naruto’s direction. “What's wrong, Dobe?” he asked.

“My head is killing me, Teme.. What did I drink last nighttt” Naruto whined childishly. Sasuke sighed, throwing a pillow at Naruto hitting him in the chest making Naruto yelp at the impact. “It’s too early for your whining, Dobe” Sasuke got off his elbows, laying his head in his arms

Naruto threw the pillow back at Sasuke and ran off knowing damn well Sasuke would chase after him with the exact same pillow.

Sasuke threw the blanket off of him and ran after Naruto. He did track throughout Junior high and High school he was amongst the fastest runners the school had. He easily caught up to Naruto hitting him in the head with the pillow. Everyone in the dormitories didn’t pay the two any mind. They were used to the two playing around.

Sakura and Hinata watched as Sasuke and Naruto played cat and mouse back and forth for almost an hour before Sakura rolled her eyes and walked over grabbing the pillow from Naruto and hitting both of them.

“Will you two just stop and get ready? Breakfast is almost over!” she slightly scolded the two.

Sasuke didn’t say anything while Naruto whined about the fact Sakura hit him. Hinata chuckled and walked over patting Naruto’s head before dragging him off somewhere the two didn’t know.

“Let me go get dressed and we could go get coffee.” Sasuke suggested taking his pillow back. Sakura nodded and the two walked back to his dorm so he could change and put the pillow back where it belonged, on his bed.

Sakura stood outside Sasuke's room while he changed. It didn’t take him long to walk out the room. The two walked and talked not too long on their way to the small coffee shop near the college.

Sasuke asked what Sakura wanted and it didn’t take long for her to say her order. Sasuke ordered and paid for their drinks which Sakura told him she could have paid for. Sakura had grabbed a table for the two by the window, the shop was very cozy especially in the mornings when the shop smelled of fresh coffee and the morning smell.

Sasuke got up, grabbed their order and took a Lillie which the barista said he could. He walked back, handing Sakura her drink and the Lillie. “Hey, Sakura.” he spoke after a small quietness.

“Yes, Sasuke?” she replied

“You, uh, wanna go on a date with me sometime next month?” he asked with his face having a slight pink tint to it.

Sakura's eyes slightly widened “A date?” she asked for clarification

Sasuke nodded, “Yes a date” he tilted his head slightly

“Yes, Sasuke, I will go on a date with you” She grinned

Sasuke sighed of relief slightly “Good”
