Apple (iPhone) Mobile Price in Bangladesh: Apple Inc. is an American multinational company that was founded in 1976 to sell the Apple I personal computer. It is headquartered in California and sells various electronics, online services, software, and even solar energy panels. Among the three founders of Apple, the late Steve Jobs is the most known personality for his total contribution for Apple, his talent in technology, various innovations, and his life story.

Apple is known worldwide for its iPhones, iPads, iPods, AirPods, Apple Watch and MacBooks. They are also known for their no-compromise clean premium quality and unique individualistic nature. Apple is the only smartphone manufacturer in the world that produces smartphones with its own operating system (iOS) with a tremendous number of sales.

As of August 2023, Apple was the number 1 smartphone brand worldwide with 28.52% market share [source: statcounter]. In Bangladesh, they were in the 7th position with a 3.86% market share. [source: statcounter]

History

iPhones were popular since its birth in 2008. The first iPhone, iPhone 3G released in July 2008 was a huge success for Apple. After this Apple started to release their smartphones once a year. Many people spent a couple of nights outside the Apple shops before the release of a new device every year. Stocks ran out quickly and it was quite prestigious to own an iPhone from the first stock. In 2017, Apple had about 15% market share with iOS (IDC). They sold 216.7 million iPhones in 2017 which made them the second most selling phone brands in the world. The developer of Android, Google sold only 3.9 million Pixel Phones in 2017. Samsung kept its first place by selling 316.4 million Android phones in 2017.

Apple has been producing only premium flagship smartphones with a few exceptions like iPhone 5c and iPhone SE 2020. In fact, iPhones are known as the most expensive smartphones in the world. Therefore, it became a symbol of status and material abundance for many. There are dedicated customers of Apple iPhones around the world. In 2017, they finished constructing “Apple Park,” their new headquarter in California, USA. The cost of the construction was 5 billion USD. In the same year, they have released iPhone X with a newer kind of notch display.

In 2021, iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max came with a whole new level of video camera experience. According to Apple, you can now shoot professional movies only with an iPhone in your hand. Apple quickly gained top position putting Samsung behind with the release of the iPhone 13 series in September 2021. In the year 2022-2023, iPhone 14 series continued the success of Apple phones.

In September 12, 2023 iPhone 15 series was announced and was released in September 22. The Pro and Pro Max models came with titanium frames, an impressive Apple A17 chipset, better camera, an action button and a few other nice features. This pushed the recognition of excellence in Apple products further, especially, when it comes to elegance, innovation and engineering.

There is no official brand showroom of Apple in Bangladesh as of 2023 but there are some authorized Apple product sellers and distributors in the country. Although their gadgets are quite expensive, it is among the top smartphone brands of Bangladesh because of its reliable quality and dedicated service. Unofficial phones from this brand is very popular since the price is much lower than those with an official warranty. Some older generation phones like iPhone 11 and 13 are still available for sale after the release of iPhone 15 series as the price is lower and consumers get the reliability of Apple. Furthermore, iOS operating system in those early devices is still up to date, secure and stable in current time and these phones remain well-functional after a long period of time. But we do suggest to get the newest models if possible for even longer-term usage.
