Viktor, using a follower’s form to hide in the rafters of the Council Chamber, waiting for Jayce: I will simply reason with him—convince him that he belongs by my side. If he refuses, I will have to make the…unfortunate but necessary sacrifice of killing him. A waste of potential, yes, but it must be done. However, no matter the outcome, I shall remain composed. I will not let emotion cloud my judgment. I have evolved past such rudimentary limitations. I-
*cue Jayce walking in looking like THIS*
Viktor: …change of plans 🥴
*insert THE most homoerotic fight scene in history*
(I’ve spent an abnormal amount of time thinking about this scene if you can’t tell 😳)

If there's one shot that's stuck with me during the whole jayce and viktor sequence, it's this one short flashback from season 1. We see almost see Viktor through Jayce's eyes and he looks so? Soft? And the way Viktor looks at him with such tenderness and love in this eyes (his eyes literally soften when he looks at him). This shot just feels so intimate. I feel like I'm walking in on something that I shouldn't

“Why are you sobbing violently?” Oh nothing. Just the fact that Vander had literal tears in his eyes when he dragged down Jinx to her death. Which meant even in his most deranged state he knew what he was doing and was still sort of in there, even if his body wouldn’t cooperate as he helplessly watches his daughter die, unable to stop her from blowing them both up while the last shred of his semi-life diminishes with that fact that one of his daughter’s died so that the other could live and it’s his fault.
And Jinx knew this too which is why she holds his face, trying to comfort him in their last moments so that at the very least, he knows she doesn’t blame him.
I genuinely will not be moving on.

something something the way Jayce had to adapt and move around his new, injured leg alone and made himself a brace and staff like viktor’s, to the end where he told viktor that everyones imperfections make them who they are and that he loved viktor just the way he was, and them both having that same imperfection, that injured leg, to share… im gonna be sick someone sedate me

one thing i keep coming back to is the fight scene in the council room from s208 because it just tells us SO much about viktor. when he enters the room in his avatar he catwalks in. he moves with so much elegance and so much confidence. the way he pins jayce by the wrist and then slowly wraps his fingers around jayce’s hammer. the way he wraps his legs around jayce and cups his face and brushes his fingers over his lips. the way when he’s towering over jayce in the astral plane he calls him *his* partner for the first time.
we’re seeing who viktor is when he inhabits a body that he thinks is perfect
in the avatar of the glorious evolution, where viktor finally sees himself as powerful, as pure, as just like everybody else… he’s confident with jayce, even dominant, in a way he would never allow himself to be while he was alive in his original body.
and of course the kicker is that without his imperfections, without his entire self, he’s not viktor to jayce anymore. ‘my partner died in this room’
and it takes until the finale, until viktor can see himself through jayce’s eyes, for it to click that he could have been this way with jayce all along. that he has always been equal to jayce. that his confidence, his grace, his power - jayce saw it all along.
and i just found the end of the council room scene so devastating. the way that once viktor’s perfect evolved body is broken we immediately see him huddled and collapsed on the floor, making himself as small as possible

Guys this really happened
they look so desperate for each other and someone on Twitter said that Vi puts her hand in Caitlyn's pants to pull her closer to her body so I haven't been able to stop thinking about it

His body language in this scene always sends me. The way he looks up and down, shrugs and then stands awkwardly after Jayce asks him if he actually knows what he’s doing makes me giggle so hard.
My favorite, lovable, nerdy dork

incredible choice to subtly het-bait viktor with sky for a while only to then go “lmao no who are we kidding. he never liked her like that and she herself confirms out loud that he won’t be missing her presence. anyway. time for him to die hand in hand with the only man still capable of reaching the humanity within him through the power of love”

I’ve never liked Jayce more than when he’s screaming, crying, glitching, crashing out, killing his best friend, soulmate, lab partner, mortal enemy, situationship.
Like he could not fail, but also almost split into two people with how much he didn’t want to do it. He contains multitudes, and was doomed from the start. This was always inevitable, and he never had a choice. Destiny and Fate are inescapable and glorious evolution demands to be realized.
Jayce Talis you are a cog in the machine that you built with your own hands, I could never hate you.
