ROBERT HAS BEEN CUT FROM NIGHTMARE TIME 2

They just announced that he will not be participating in NMT2 and will be benched until further notice. 

So my questions now are: If they already prefilmed NMT2 does this mean they will have to refilm? If his characters are in NMT2 (he had posted a pic in the hidgens wig) who will be playing them? And does this mean he will be replaced in Working Boys OR will they just cancel it all together?

Remember how rob would delete his twitter for like 2-3 days every time he got into a scuffle but hasn’t deleted after confessing to sexually harassing someone cuz only a few people on instagram saw it and he sees himself as the hero.

I Am Irked

TW: Robert situation (no mention of anything graphic just the situation itself) 

Ok so I know I already posted a long ass rant about the robert situation and most of you guys supported my thoughts (thank you!) but I have something to get off my chest. 

I know we’re all giving starkid as a whole as well as the other actors time to process and figure out how to go about this situation which let’s be honest, they probably won’t say anything until after nightmare time (if they ever do say anything)  but that’s not why I’m irked. 

I’m irked because of how robert literally just posted and instagram story, left it up for the full 24 hours before it automatically deleted, and then just disappeared. Like wtf. I thought maaaaybe he would at least make a follow up because boy that was NOT an apology. Not a single “sorry” in it. Just an announcement that he sexually harassed the person and then tagged them for everyone to go see who that person was. 

I thought maybe after he saw how pissed off everyone was he would at least have the balls to make a follow up post or even put his face on camera and record an actual apology. (Again this is 100% on him to do not starkid or any of his friends) he made this mess he’s gotta clean it up. 

However it’s bothering me the longer time goes on. I’m sure I’m just being impatient and ya’ll are free to disagree with me but I just feel like it was a “blink and you miss it” thing since he just posted it with no fucking warning or context. And since it was a story and deletes after 24 hours, if someone wasn’t online that day they might not know what happened. 

He hasn’t posted anything on instagram or even liked tweets on twitter since the incident (maybe jon or nick took his phone away) but it just seems so fucking sketchy. Sorry not sorry but you’re a grown ass man. You are 27 soon to be 28 there’s no fucking excuses. 

He exposed a very sensitive subject to a shit ton of kids and adults that may now be reprocessing their own trauma while he’s just been acting like it never happened. You don’t drop a bomb like that and then go radio silent. 

This irks me so much because I LOVED hidgens. Working boys was my favorite bit. I’m autistic and I memorized every bit of show stopping number and I would always act it out for my partner while we rewatched TGWDLM for the 30th time. 

It’s so disappointing to see a GROWN MAN handle a situation this terribly. I hope he sees what everyone’s been posting and I hope he knows the irreversible damaged he caused not just to his victim but to every person he involved in this simply because they opened that stupid instagram story. 

I’m beyond disappointed. And trust me I’m not one to hold performers to a higher standard or anything but he’s understood what a fan base is for a few years now. He’s had PLENTY of time to adjust and understand how anything he does gets amplified to tens of thousands of people. It’s just such a mess and the longer it goes without a single follow up tweet just makes me madder. 

It’s a slap in the face. Like we’re supposed to just move on now cuz he “took accountability” by posting when literally no one asked.

This whole hexagon thing is super confusing. You guys are amazing! I don’t know how you’re doing it but seeing all of you trying to decode this stuff is so cool! I’m waaaaay too confused so I’ll just wait til the end to figure it out but damn if I’m not super impressed by all of your posts!

Rob Situation Rant:

I’ve seen a lot of people defending rob because “well he came forward and apologized that’s good enough for me” and please let me explain from a business/adult perspective. 

1: Taking Away The Victim’s Decision. The victim never posted anything or made anything public. The victim never got to tell their story. Rob took away that power from them by making it public AND tagging their personal instagram account. Which by the way Rob has over 77k Instagram followers the last time I checked and that’s a very large platform. Also we don’t know if the victim was planning on coming forward and posting this outed them to a large fanbase. 

2: The Timing: Every is well aware that right now every starkid instagram is being watched like a hawk. Everyone is excited about the new clues that have been going out every day for the past couple of days. Also Rob posted this in the middle of the night. Why? Why post it now? Did the harassment happen yesterday? We don’t know anything about the situation (and we probably shouldn’t) so it just feels really weird that he would post this at this exact time when the fandom is so busy with other things. 

3: The Phrasing: The way Rob phrased the post was that he was doing something good by (for lack of a better term) “holding himself accountable” by posting this. However no one ever said any of this publicly. He had nothing to address publicly. He made it public. He made that person’s trauma public to a fanbase that let’s be honest, has a lot of kids in it who may not understand the full severity of these actions. As I have seen, many fans are defending the actions thinking he did the right thing by admitting to it. I want you guys to understand that just because someone admits to something doesn’t mean the thing they did didn’t cause lasting damage. 

4: He Has Put His Coworkers In A Bad Position: Due to the timing and the fact that he is a very large part of the Hatchetfield series, Rob has unfairly put his friends (and roommates) in a very difficult place. They now have to decide to either continue working with Rob who admitted to harassing a band member (who I assume they currently work with) and have them working together disregarding any discomfort that person may feel. Or they would have to fire Rob and recast when Nightmare Time is currently being announced and is most likely set to start within the new few weeks. This also affects the business because if they keep Rob some people may not purchase Nightmare Time tickets which is their only production during the year so far that could give them any extra income that actors desperately need during the pandemic. 

Conclusion: 

Overall I think this is a giant mess. To clarify, I am not asking that other actors or members address it immediately. As I said before, Rob has unfairly put his friends and coworkers in a very tough position they didn’t ask to be put in. Personally, this on top of the other shit robert has done has ruined one of my special interest. I really liked Hidgens and was looking forward to the Working Boys film and seeing more of him in Nightmare Time as well as really looking forward to seeing the long awaited reveal of Hot Chocolate Boy. However, it is incredibly disrespectful and invalidating to the victim and all victims of harassments and sexual abuse to continue to support someone who did all of this. 

I’m sure I missed some points because I just woke up and haven’t had coffee yet. If you took the time to read this thank you. I hope that you can see what I’m trying to explain. I posted on reddit and was met with many people accepting his “apology” and moving on. This isn’t a slip up. It’s not an accident. Continuing to pursue someone sexually who has made it clear they are not interested is WRONG

Rewatching TGWDLM

I rewatched TGWDLM and of course it was awesome. But this time I really got to appreciate “What do you want paul?”. It’s always been hilarious but in the terms of musical theater it’s brilliant. Main characters usually start out with an “I want” song. This song lets you know more about the main character and their motivations that will get them from point A to B in the show. For example when we first meet Tom in Black Friday and he sings “What Tim Wants”. It shows his motivation is to get his son a toy that makes him happy and he will stop at nothing to do so. 

With Paul he was introduced to us and never sang himself until the final act. “What Do You Want Paul” tells us that he really doesn’t have that motivation until he finds it later with Emma.

I usually don’t tune into Jon’s streams but for some reason the universe must have guided me at this exact moment. I turned on the stream and robert walked in and they started drawing the most horrifying image known to man. Coincidence? I think not

What are you hoping to see in Nightmare Time Season 2? Personally I’d like to see more of Linda and Becky’s “frenemies” background. Like maybe they met at the HOA or something.

I heard on Jon’s stream that Jeff is moving away from CA. Anyone know why or if he’ll be back? He wrote all the hatchetfield music so I would think it would be odd for him not to return for NPMD
