NFL Playoff Schedule and Predictions | 12up

NFL Wild Card weekend officially begins on Saturday. The Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and Los Angeles Rams have all earned first-round byes, which leaves eight teams battling it out to advance to the Divisional Round.

Here's the schedule for the big weekend of NFL action.

Indianapolis Colts (10-6) at Houston Texans (11-5)

The game airs on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 4:35 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Thanks to New England's win over the New York Jets, the Texans missed out on the first-round bye, and have to face their division rival in the Colts. Indianapolis started the season off 1-5, but due to the coaching of Frank Reich and play of Andrew Luck, ​the Colts nabbed the final AFC Wild Card spot.

The game will be a highly defensive battle, but the Colts are a hot team right now, so expect them to earn the “upset” over the Texans.

Prediction: Colts 20, Texans 17

Seattle Seahawks (10-6) at Dallas Cowboys (10-6)

Seattle-Dallas airs on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 8:15 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Seahawks surprised experts everywhere by making the postseason, which can be attributed to the coaching ability of Pete Carroll and the play of Russell Wilson. Dallas, on the other hand, took the next step by acquiring Amari Cooper to pair with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.

Expect the Cowboys to utilize their home-field to their advantage, as they narrowly escape with the win.

Prediction: Cowboys 31, Seahawks 28

Los Angeles Chargers (12-4) at Baltimore Ravens (10-6)

Los Angeles-Baltimore airs on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 1:05 p.m. ET on CBS.

It took until the final game of the season, ​but the Ravens clinched the AFC North. Ever since Baltimore started Lamar Jackson, they went 6-1. On the flip side, the Chargers are one of the more stacked teams in the league on both sides of the ball, and if not for the Chiefs, they could have been division champions.

Baltimore's defense and Jackson will prove to be too much for the Chargers (as they already showed in Week 16), who have had a bit of poor luck in the postseason.

Prediction: Ravens 24, Chargers 17

Philadelphia Eagles (9-7) at Chicago Bears (12-4)

Philadelphia-Chicago airs on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 4:40 p.m. ET on NBC. 

The Eagles snuck into the postseason with help from Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles, who stepped up in place of Carson Wentz. Chicago boasts the top scoring defense in the NFL to pair alongside Matt Nagy's offensive genius.

Chicago's defense is downright terrifying, and Foles is entering the game with bruised ribs. Expect the Bears to take advantage of that, and win easily.

Prediction: Bears 28, Eagles 14​
