They say to close the window that hurt you, no matter how gorgeous the view, and believe me I tried. But even now, I still find myself looking out the glass. Is this why we build walls?

Even though you didn’t make it to the end of my story
I’ll always have the corner folded down on your page as it was one of my favorites.

The love we had was hollow,
our memories made through empty bottles.
You can't grasp on to tomorrow,
when the time we shared was borrowed.

The bracelet was much more than just a tangible item,
it was your way of saying that actions speak louder than words,
an emblematic salience of intimacy
to be shared when words failed to encapsulate the way you felt.

I want to text you today
but instead I will pensively wither into the bedsheets
as day fades into night, and night into day
in an inexorable omnibus of enervated self-loathing,
yearning that a single soul may rip me from this reverie of brazen acrimony

“A soul alone
Has room to grow
But connected to another
Mutually shows
Imperfection in one
Becomes a reflection to the other
It takes two
To take things further
And with love it will succeed
But if the odorous past still lingers
An axe will drive in-between”

Repeating you
Our story was coming to an end;
the reverie of what once was but no longer is,
and yet I could never bring myself to read the last chapter.
Instead, I ineluctably started at the beginning again,
because when I did that, I knew that you’d still be there.

It can be sad to think we care so much about what other people think that we sacrifice all of who we really are.

She had a way of speaking that always calmed me, the mannerisms and the way she emphasized certain words with almost a melodious infliction, it’s hard to describe, but I can still hear her voice when I think about it, mainly because I’ve never heard someone else quite speak the way she once did.
