Richard Chase wanted to testify in court, against his lawyers advice.

[sacvamp]

All throughout Dennis Nilsen’s murderous rampage, he had one true companion - a dog named Bleep. She remained by his side throughout his brutal murders which took place in his apartment. On one occasion, she alerted Nilsen that one of his intended victims, Carl Stottor, was still alive. Bleep went over and licked Stottor and Nilsen decided he would revive him. 

When Nilsen was finally apprehended, Bleep was taken to Horney Police Station where Nilsen could hear her crying from his cell -  “I am ashamed that her last days should be so painful. She had always forgiven me everything.” 

Bleep was euthanized the following week.
